Danica doesn't know what happened.

She only remembers this strange sensation running through her body. It started somewhere deep inside her, somewhere concealed from the physical world. It consumed her like a fire.

It started as a spark the second she saw Mando's body hit the earth, beskar ringing upon the contact with the stone beneath it. In the second it took her mind to register what just happened the flame started burning deep inside her, fed by her panic and fear. As her head lifted, green, normally gentle eyes burning with a passion as they locked onto the pirate that hit Mando; the fire is alive with a mind on its own, making its way through her whole being.

Heat consumed her, it tried to escape from everywhere. It tried to escape through her mouth in the form of sharp words and a bitter scream. It tried to escape from her eyes in the form of dangerous looks that could set the world around her on fire if the sun reflected into them. It tried to escape through the vibration in her body, eager to do something, anything. It tried to escape through her hands in the form of an eruption, bathing everything in its deadly heat.

The next words of the pirate behind her started the natural disaster; they started the explosion of a star that had to hide its light for far too long now.

Danica doesn't understand how or why it happened, but it did. And it made her feel alive.

The heat and power that consumed her whole being erupted in a supernova, burning everything in its path to ashes.

In the middle of these ashes a phoenix rose.

The girl is the only one left standing, the pirates lying unconscious at her feet, their speeders and everything in range thrown on its side.

She doesn't even look at the hunters that turned into the hunted, not caring whether they are still alive or not. Her eyes are set on the Mandalorian before her that seems to be the only one not affected by whatever just happened.

It was the girl's wish to save him from the pirates, which led to exactly that happening.

The flame inside the girl acted like she wished for it to. It followed her every command.

The Mandalorian slowly comes back to his senses. A throbbing in the back of his head makes him close his eyes tightly in hopes of relieving some of the pain.

The Crest's gentle hum gives him a sense of security while he is still in the blissful state of unawares. He relaxes against his seat, hoping to fall back asleep.
