chapter eleven: committed to taking you out on our first date

The family is back in Milwaukee, and I'm kind of glad to be home. When I tell you we were shocked when we came back though...because the house was trashed. Jaden threw a party, thinking we were coming back later in the day so it could give her enough time to clean. While she was getting yelled at Jordan was laughing the entire time, and I had to take him upstairs to calm him down. These past couple of days, I haven't heard from Jordan. We have all our classes, but we don't talk much outside of that. He told me that he needs time to think about his college decision, and I respect it. I know this is a stressful time for him, and I am happy to give him all the space he needs during this time...I have already given him my opinion. Plus I think it would be good for us to spend some time away from each other because people think I'm already dependent and need him all the time, which isn't true.

The girls at Rufus have been ruthless lately. It's not terrible rumors, but they're most definitely talking shit about. I think they're upset because Jordan only gives me attention and not them. Too bad sucks to suck.

I was sitting in my bed watching The Princess and The Frog when someone knocked on my door. Of course, I think it's my mom and stay in my position, but Jordan peeks his head, showing off his goofy grin. I let out a squeal jumping into his arms. My pipe placed kisses all over his face while I clung onto him for dear life. I missed him.

Closing the door, we sit down on the bed while I'm on his lap. His hands snake up under my shirt, lightly rubbing my back.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."

I am a smiling fool right now probably ripping my face due to cheesing so hard.

" I finally made a decision."

"That's good."

"My commitment ceremony is tomorrow, and I want you to be there."

"Ok I will be there", he smiles.

All of his attention was on me, but I was too focused on all the lint that was in his hair and mustache. It must've been when he was putting his sweatshirt on.

"I've also done a lot of other thinking, but that is a surprise," he smirks.

"Oh god why would you say that now I'm about to be thinking about it until you tell me."

"Because then you would interrogate me if I started acting weird", he laughs.

My arms wrap tight around him as if I were a snake and he was my prey. I just love him so much. I inhale his scent resting my head on his shoulder.

"Do you want to cuddle naked?"

"Yeah you staying over for the night?"

"I thought me having my backpack was the answer."

"Alright smart ass."

Quickly opening my door, we yell goodnight to my parents. Our clothes are taken off within seconds and I pull the covers back so we can get it. Jordan pats his chest, and I lay my head down. My hand rubs on his abs as we continue watching the Disney movie. He knows it's my absolute favorite and never argues with me when I want to watch it. We have probably watched this movie a million times and he never gets sick of it. I turn around staring at Jordan to see his eyes keep dropping. If I were hornier, I would wake him up with a hand job, but I'll let him sleep. Turning my bedside lamp off, I snuggle closer to Jojo, placing a kiss on his lips.

"Goodnight Jordan."

"Goodnight baby," he mumbled.

Today is finally the day. Normally you would think athletes would never commit to a school this early in their high school careers. You would think I would do this my junior or senior year, but I'm ready to commit right now...to basketball and to Nova. With my school decision, I have been thinking about Nova and moving on to the next step with her. Asking her out has been a dream of mine ever since middle school, and I am finally mustering up the courage to do that. I'm either doing it after my commitment ceremony or when I take her out to get ice cream after school. All I know is that it is going to get done today no ifs ands or buts about it. I also invited my second parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell. They have every right to be included in this moment since they have been to the majority of my games, whether it's for school or AAU. Also, Nova's dad has been a big help when it comes to my training and has been one of the people that has helped me increase my skill level. I see both of my moms and dads walk in with big smiles on their faces and soon Nova enters the gym. Our parents wrote a note so she can get out of gym and she was too ecstatic. Running up to me she wraps her arms around her neck smiling so hard.
