Chapter 13: Dejah's Revenge

A giant banner hangs in the sky displaying pictures of Chan and Dejah promoting the finals.

"It's finally here folks, the Dance Until you Drop finale!" Gary yelled

The crowd cheered.

"Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me." Susan whispered as she scooted toward Daniel

"Susan?" Daniel questioned

"Hi." Susan replied

"What are you doing here?" Tasha asked

"I came to see Johnny and Dejah win." Susan mentioned catching her breath

"I thought you did like seeing Johnny dance." Tasha stated

"Your daughter changed my mind. Isn't she amazing?" Susan smiled

Daniel and Tasha looked at each other.

"Yeah, she is." Tasha smiled

"In this competition, we have Team battle, Captain battle, and Creative dance. The judges will choose a winner via vote at the end of each event. Competing we have the Hollywood Highsteppers with a whopping record of 9-0 and the second time done in this competition ever. The previous team to do this was Major Beverly last year led by our very own Gigi Mulligan!" Gary mentioned

The crowd cheered. Gigi stood and waved.

"But will they be able to win this year? They are going up against a team that is 7-2, Major Beverly!" Gary added

The crowd cheered. Tishe and Shay frowned, and Bree sat eating a corn dog.

"Right now, our teams are getting ready but our first event will be beginning soon. When we come back we will begin our Team battle!" Gary announced

Backstage...

Johnny was walking back to the dressing room.

"Hey, Johnny." Zach called

Johnny stopped and turned around.

"What's up?" Johnny answered

Zach jogged over to Johnny.

"Congrats on finally making it official with Dejah." Zach mentioned

"Official?" Johnny questioned

"Yeah, she told me a while ago that you were her boyfriend, sorry I'm so late tho." Zach added

"No, you're good. Thanks, I appreciate it bro." Johnny smiled

Zach walked away as Johnny looked confused. Johnny walked inside the dressing room.

"Everyone we go out in 5, make sure your make-up is done and your uniform is on correctly. Lana, Vida, and Jonika don't forget your point shoes." Dejah directed

"Hey, Dejah can I talk to you over here for a second?" Johnny asked

Dejah and Johnny walked towards the door.

"Zach just told me that we are boyfriend and girlfriend." Johnny mentioned

"You and him? I wonder win he changed his pronouns." Dejah responded

"Dejah." Johnny scolded

"Okay, I'm sorry. I told him that because he told me he liked me the other night, I didn't want to be mean and just say no." Dejah explained

"So that is the best thing you could think of?" Johnny smiled

"At the time yeah." Dejah replied

"Is that what you actually want tho?" Johnny asked
