Maya and Jack had been together for several months now. When Andy had become a captain, they had made their relationship official with their superiors.
Indeed, nothing prevented them from being together, the position of captain was filled and they were both lieutenant.

Maya was not in love with Jack. However, she had a lot of affection for him. But having never been in love it wasn't strange for her to be in a relationship with him without having any feelings. She just thought that love was not for her.

Telling Herrera had been the hardest thing for Maya to do, Andy was her best friend and had almost been the fiancée of her current boyfriend.

Andy, Vic and Maya were in the kitchen preparing food for the team, the guys were in the gym. They had flipped a coin and the girls had lost... The new captain had not wanted to use her power to dictate her law.

- "so with Jack, are you okay?" Vic asked.

-"Yes, everything is fine," she looked at Andy.

-"It's okay, I'm over it."

- "he is an exceptional... Lover" she allowed herself to say

- "I confess" Andy surmised "he was .... Really good" she laughed

- "stop it, you're going to make me want to jump on him" added Vic

-"heyy don't touch Hughes, he's mine" replied Maya pretending to sulk

- "roooh it's okay you both got a taste of this sexy evil, you could share! It's not like you love him... Wait maybe... Do you love him ? "

Maya made a disconcerted face, as if the beautiful Hughes had just come out with some nonsense, a nonsense that was almost disturbing

- "Oh no, stop it! I like him, but I'm not in love. I don't fall in love, ever."

-"Yes, but you don't usually go out either," said Andy, pointing to a pink radish and biting into it.

- "he knows how to ... where it itches...   And with the work we've been doing for months... I don't have the faith to go out... And if it tickles me during the day... Here it is! "

Maya wasn't a big fan of displays of affection. But it was all she could give him in exchange for his 'love'. And then they were family.
