Eight Years Ago
We see in Vought Tower that a Christmas party is being held. And all the members of the Seven were seen talking to Congressmen and other very rich and important people. Translucent is seen walking around invisible with a Santa suit on.
Translucent: Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas! Who's been naughty?
Madelyn is seen talking with Deep who is wearing an elf hat, both of them holding champagne glasses full of champagne.
Madelyn: It is dead center on your brand.
Deep: Mm-hmm.
Madelyn: Let's get a picture.
Deep: I love pictures.
Madelyn looks around for the camera man and sees that he's walking by them, she snaps his fingers and gets his attention.
Madelyn: Hey.
Cameraman: Smile.
The camera man takes a picture, but Madelyn seemed to have wanted another.
Madelyn: Another one.
At another part of the party we can see a younger Butcher getting a couple of drinks. He then takes a sip of his and makes his way through the crowd and taps on the shoulder of a woman, the woman turns around revealing herself to be Becca. Seeing Butcher she smiled.
Butcher: Oi, gorgeous. Vodka soda, hold the soda.
Becca: Thank you.
Butcher decided to complain about all the things at the party hoping that will get them to leave quicker.
Butcher: Drinks are free, but the food's bloody awful. Ahi tartare, for fuck's sakes.
Becca tries to compromise with Butcher as she looked like she wanted to leave as well.
Becca: Okay. Just let me shake a few more hands, and then we'll be out of here... whoa
Butcher goes to take a huge gulp of his drink causing Becca to place her hand on his and push the drink away from his mouth.
Becca: Woah. Easy, tiger. I want you on your "A" game.
Butcher:. "A" game?
Becca: Mm-hmm.
Becca now had a big smile on her face as Butcher started to get closer.
Butcher:. You know, I like the sound of that.
Becca: Yeah?
Butcher: Yeah.
Just as they're about to kiss they're interrupted.
Homelander: Merry Christmas.
They both look up the stairs and see Homelander starring at them from just a few steps up. Homelander points at Becca as he starts to walk down towards the two. Both Becca and Butcher look at each other confused on what Homelander would want.
Homelander: Becca. New senior director, digital marketing.
With each word Homelander would point at her again emphasizing said words.
Becca: Uh, yeah. How did you know?
Homelander: I have my sources.
Homelander places his hand right next to his mouth as if to cover it so no one could read his lips or hear what he was saying.
Homelander: And your nametag.
Becca looks down at her name tag and nervously laughs.
Becca: Yes, that, too.
