TW: Mention of killing endermen. Not much of a trigger but I'll mark it anyways. Oh, and a knife almost hitting someone, but purposefully missed.

Y/N's POV

You woke up to the sun streaming into your room. You yawned, stretching. You felt something on top of you. Looking up, you saw that Patches had moved to lay on your stomach. This put you into a predicament, as you wanted to get up, but did not want to disturb the cat.

You couldn't reach your mask, so calling for help would lead to your face being seen. That was not something you wanted, since you've only known these people for, what, 2 days? You groaned, realizing your only option was to lay there with your own thoughts.

"Y/N?" You heard shuffling coming closer to your door.

"Don't come in, I don't have my mask on and I can't reach it," you called. Good thing you locked the door.

"You can't just get up and get it?" The voice asked. It sounded like George.

"No, there's a cat on top of me and I don't want to wake her up," you called. He snickered outside your door.

"Alright, well, Dream wanted to see you when you got up," he said. You heard his feet sleepily moving back to his room before a door closed down the hall.

You laid still as the cat napped. It had to have taken about 20 minutes before Patches stretched awake, moving right next to your face and meowing at you. You smiled, scooping her up in one arm so you could get your mask and open the door. You stroked her back as you walked down the stairs. You found Dream sitting on the couch, zoned out on a spot above the fireplace. You set the cat down. She ran directly to Dream, hopping onto the couch and into his lap.

The sudden movement snapped him back into reality. She purred against him as you leaned against a wall and pulled out a dagger to spin and toy around with. You stood there for a few minutes until he spoke up.

"We've declared war on L'Manburg. They refused to cooperate." He said, his mask staying focused on his pretty cat.

"Ok," You said. You kept messing with the knife, tossing it and spinning it around.

"You aren't mad?" Dream asked, a little confused.

"My brothers have always been too stubborn for their own good. They need to be taught a lesson." You said, baring your teeth when pronouncing "lesson".

"So... it wouldn't matter to you, even if they got hurt?" He asked, his mask turning to face you.

"Like I told you," You angrily walked towards him, throwing the knife and purposefully missing his head, getting it stuck in the wall. "I chose my morals over my family. Don't be the reason I change my mind."

You were angry, for no reason. You settled down the emotions. You weren't going to let it get to your head, not like before. You took a deep breath and stepped back.

"Do you need me to do anything else?" You asked, trying to calm the battlefield inside you.

"I don't think so, but you could always go gather stuff like netherite or food or-"

"Great, I'm headed to the nether. I'll see you in about... 8 hours." You told him, walking out the door before he could stop you. You put your hand into your pocket and grabbed your pickaxe from your inventory. You walked onto the worn path through the woods, until you reached the prime path. You followed it all the way down until you found the main nether portal.

You went through, watching as the swirling land turned red and the temperature rose by at least 30 degrees. You followed one of the paths straight off to the left. You branched off to an area that looked untouched. You began mining, which took your mind off the overwhelming emotions crowding your mind.
