TW: Swearing

Y/N's POV

You woke up to Dream knocking on your door, very insistently. You groaned and rolled over in bed. Patches heard, rising from the foot of your bed and licking your face, making sure you were okay. You smiled and pet her head in response.

"Y/N, you need to get up. It's already mid-day, and we have a lot of stuff to do."

"Shut up, dad." You teased, turning your head back to the precious kitty in your grasp. She was adorable.

"Y/N, I will break this door down, whether you want me to or not, and then drag you out of bed and down the steps."

"I'll just jump the window," you called back to him.

"Princess, it'd be the same as accidentally falling from the roof." He said, reminding you of when you of the night you two went stargazing. You narrowed your eyes at the pet name.

"I've jumped out of trees higher than this and survived," you retorted. You may have had a few healing potions after those jumps as well, but that wasn't Dream's business.

"Fine then, I'll just have to take my cat back." He said.

"Nope, she loves me more. She stays here." You said instantly.

"Patches! Patches, treat!" He said. She perked up instantly. Dammit, trigger word. She leapt off the bed and scurried to the pet door, where Dream showered her with affection outside your room.

"I'm not getting up," You called. Even Tommy would have thought it best to leave you alone at this point, and he was persistent.

"You leave me with no choice, then," he sighed. You heard something metallic being inserted into the door. You grabbed your mask, hopping up and running to the backside of the door.

Dream fumbled with the door as you pulled something out of your inventory to distract him. When he finally got the door unlocked, he swung it open and looked to your bed to see it was empty.

He turned his left to look directly at you, barely getting a glimpse before you slapped him in the face with...

...a fish.

You left him confused as you bolted out of the room, laughing as you ran down the stair. George and Sapnap looked concerned as you threw the fish at Dream, who was gaining on you. You ran out the front door and around the back.

You scurried up a tree, sitting in the branches as he came out of the house. You had never lost a game of hide and seek, and you weren't about to.

"Y/N," he said in a sing-song voice. "You can't hide forever. George, Sapnap and I used to do this for fun, you know..."

You hopped to another branch, taking out a pen and paper. You messily scribbled on it, before crumpling it up and throwing it near him and jumping trees again. You climbed up a bit higher. He must've picked up the paper, because he now read it out loud.

"'You have five minutes or I win'. Oh, Y/N, that's plenty of time to find you." He said, walking directly under you. You climbed a little bit higher, jumping to another tree.

"Y/N, princess, you aren't going to win."

Time was ticking away. You had hopped from tree to tree until you were at the front of the house. You spotted a crow on a higher branch. You climbed up to it, whispering in its ear. It nodded slightly, and flew to a tree on the opposite side of the house and made a rustling noise.

At this point, you were above the roof. It would hurt a lot to fall from here, maybe even cost a life. You decided to stay in your perch.

10 seconds and I win.
