TW: Swearing

Y/N's POV

Wil's body faded along with the light. He should come back in the same place, but who knows how long it will take him. Tommy must have already emptied his inventory as none of his items lay on the ground.

"Well, we don't have all day. Let me help you get started," You told Tommy, grabbing a couple pickaxes you'd previously stuffed in your inventory just in case and tossing one to him. He looked at you with strong gratitude before beginning to chip away at the wall. You did the same.

"Listen, when we're done here today, I can't stay. If you need me, send a crow," You reminded him. He nodded as you both sweated, putting all your energy into making a room big enough to comfortably fit him and Wilbur for the time being.

"Yeah, I expected as much," He shrugged, continuing to mine his area further and further back. He seemed really caught up in his thoughts. "Plus, a woman shouldn't spend her days cooped up in such dreary cave. Although, I guess it'll be a bit lonely until Wil is back."

"I'll stay until nightfall," You decided. You mined farther, farther, farther... your pick got stuck inside the stone for a moment. You put some force behind it and pulled it out, stumbling back in surprise for a moment and staring at a small hole. "Hey, Tom, look over here for a second, would you?"

"Hm? What the..." He leaned in right next to it, staring into it with his eye nearly touching it. "What the fuck...?"

"Step back for a second so I don't hit you," You told him. You grunted as you swung your pick hard just above the hole, making it larger. You kept swinging until it was big enough for you and Tommy to fit in. You pulled out a flint and steel, lighting it and shoving the small fire through the darkness. Tommy peaked inside. You turned to look at him.

"Holy shit," You said in unison.

"Uh, ladies first!" He stuttered. You rolled your eyes and grabbed your sword, still holding the lighter. You looked upwards to find a close ceiling. Only when you looked down did you realize this was no ordinary cave.

"Tom! This is great!" You exclaimed, trying to find a pathway down. You made small careful steps along the wall.

"What? What is it?" He said from the entrance, unsure of if he should join you in your efforts to reach the ground.

"Stop being a fucking baby and come see for yourself," You called after finding an angled ledge leading downwards. You saw him hesitantly climb in and feel his way along the wall towards you.

"It's- it's-" He said, at a loss for words.

"It's a ravine! You don't have to spend a year mining it all out, Tommy! You can just make little rooms in this GIANT ravine cave! There's plenty of space for you and Wilbur, and even others who come to join the cause!" You yelled after jumping to the now close ground, your voice bouncing off of the stone walls.

"That's amazing! Wonderful! Great! But...." He paused for a moment. "Can I keep the pickaxe, and do you have any food? Also, how are we getting out of this fucking hole? And can we make some torches or lanterns or something?"

"Slow down. One thing at a time. You can keep it, here's an apple, we can build some stairs, and I'll bring more resources tomorrow," You answered. You could see the light fading in the entrance. "I have to get back home. Stay safe tonight, okay? I promise I'll be back."

"I trust you, N/N. Now lets get out of this damn hole before nightmare spiders start crawling in," He laughed. You put away the sword and lighter and climbed up with ease, your struggling brother behind you. Once you made it up, you helped lift him back to the cave entrance. Wilbur either hadn't respawned yet or had spawned elsewhere and was making his way back. You tightly embraced Tommy as you said goodbye and picked your mask up off the ground, waving as you exited the cave. The sun had just set, leaving a faint light across the forest. You ran back towards the direction the house should be in as darkness slowly settled in.
