Kataya sits in a comfortble silence pushing around the scrambled eggs that sat on her plate. She hadn't had much of an appetite since her run in with Marz at the club a few nights ago, with her only picking out certain fruits and veggies to eat occasionally to keep from passing out. She couldn't wrap her mind around what made Marz act so crazy about her. Kataya knew she was beautiful and any man would be lucky to have her, but if someone doesn't want you there's nothing in the world you can do to change their mind. She wished Marz would wake up and realize that.

"Why the long face Kat?" Her grandmother Raji ask as she steps into the dining room. "You haven't touched your food, that isn't like you at all."

"I'm not too hungry. Sorry... I should've told you that before you cooked all this." She says as she uses her hands to point to the spread in front of her.

Waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs and cut up fruit sat on various dishes atop of the glass dining room table. One thing anyone who visited Grandmother Raji was going to do was eat. No one left with an empty stomach.

"It's not a problem. If you're feeling up to it you can take it to go.... Now, tell me what's on your mind child."

"It's... it's my ex. Marz." Kataya hesitates a bit since Raji loved Marz and she had done her best to keep his crazy side hidden from her grandmother.

"You two still aren't back together? That's a bit shocking."

"Tell me about it... usually I would be running back to him. But, this time is different." Her voice softer than usual, as she thought back to the night at the club. After Marz had basically dragged her away, he forced her to spend the night with him so they could make up. Kataya stayed and listened to him plead his case over and over again. She only agreed to forgive him so he would allow her to leave. Since then, she hadn't been home to keep from having another run with him. Kataya was extremely grateful to have her grandmother there, who welcomed her with open arms. Now, she just had to find a way to move where Marz couldn't reach her.

"It's different because you are actaully done with him for real this time bebe. Every woman has their breaking point and after years of dealing with him, you have finally reached yours." Raji speaks gently. She leans down and kisses Kataya's forehead, warming her body and comforting her just like she use to do when she was a child. "Stay here as long as you need to. No rush. Okay?"

Kataya nods, and finally finds her appetite. She takes a few small bites as her and Raji sit in a comfortble silence. Raji enjoying her hot tea and Kataya finally eating a full meal.

"You're such a beautiful and intelligent young woman bebe. Go out and have some fun, be single and experiment with something new. Do not waste your youth on one ignorant man."

"I won't grandmother." Kataya nods.

Once breakfast ends Kataya lays across the guest bedroom flipping through the channels of Raji's basic cable subscribtion.
