Psalm & Priya
"This is nice..." Priya says softly as she steps into Psalms home. He nods in response and allows her the room to enter inside. Together in silence they walk through the foyer and into the kitchen where Psalm had taken it upon himself to make a few drinks for them to enjoy.
In awe she steps into the beautiful kitchen and instantly misses when she was the one enjoying the perks of being in a relationship with the men. Just as Kataya was spoiled and pampered day in and day out, once upon a time Priya had gotten the same treatment. Regret ate at her on the regular that she had given in to temptation and gone agaisnt both Saint and Psalm.
"I got that nasty ass wine you like." Psalm says breaking the silence between them. "I don't know if you even still like it."
"I do... thank you."
Psalm only nods again before pouring up a glass for her. He had a million and one things he wanted to say to Priya but couldn't decide which topic to start with. He knew he was wrong for contacting her, felt guilt for going behind Kataya's back but he needed some form of closure. Ever since the day Priya had left suddenly, the two never spoke again. In the heat of their last argument things had been said that neither party meant and Psalm never felt completely over her because of it.
"How's everything going with your new girlfriend?" Priya ask catching Psalm completely off guard. "She's gorgeous by the way..."
"Thank you... everything is fine with me and Kat. Aside from me being me and starting shit with her." He says before taking a sip of his drink. "You know me though, I'm too much to handle. Isn't that what you said?"
"I did say that. But, I was caught up in the moment. I didn't mean it. Me and you had something special... you still know that. I think that's why I'm here even though I've been replaced."
"You haven't been replaced." Psalm says honestly. "Nobody can replace you."
Priya can't help but to blush at his smooth words. She knew the effect she had on Psalm, which is why she went to talk to him instead of Saint. Priya could tell by the way Saint looked at Kataya that he was deeply in love already, but Psalm always had a soft spot for her. And she planned to take full advantage of that to try and get her man back.
"Is that a true statement or just one you're saying to try and not hurt my feelings?" Priya questions as her finger rotates around the rim of her wine glass.
"You know me better than that... I don't mind hurting nobody feelings." Psalm chuckles. "I was being honest."
"You're right, I do know you. Maybe better than you know yourself." Priya smiles before sipping her wine. "So, tell me why I'm here. Aren't you in love with Kataya?"
"I do love Kataya. And... I don't know. Seeing you that night at my moms spot just sparked up soenthjng inside of me. I ain't realize how much I missed you. After we met up the next day I kept pretending like I didn't wanna talk to you but shit..." his voice trails off as he watches a smile spread across her face.
"I love to hear all that... but the fact still remains that you're in a relationship. I plan to respect that."
"Me too..."
"Are you sure? Because men who respect their relationships aren't rekindling friendships with their exes." Priya replies making sure to use air quotes over the word friendship.
"When you put it like that..." psalm sighs. "I just... wanted some closure on our shit. Make things right between us. Kat and I argue because I'm hard headed and insecure. So I push her away."
"Same way you did me..."
"Right."
"Things will never change if you don't chnage yourself P."
