From the moment they were born, their souls were tied together. One was destined for all things great, the other destined to be outcasted as a mistake. They were children, unaware of their fates.
But destiny waits for no one. A thief came in the night, kidnapping the outcast. A hero descended from the sky, offering limitless power to the other.
They each had their mentor and were taught their foundations. The world is nothing but a sphere for them to project on- One is taught to see the dangers lurking, taught to rise to the occasion, to save and sacrifice, for those who cannot. All life should be preserved, to the best of their abilities. While the other is taught that the earth is nothing but an empty shell, drained of it's magnificence by the humans who hunt each other on it. Taught that, sacrifice after sacrifice, humanity can never be saved. It must be reformed, by any means possible.
Children, brainwashed.
Years would pass for them, each discovering something far greater than themselves. Being molded into the representation of their futures, a great hero and an embarrassing failure, for those heroes.
They strive for perfection, one more than the other.
Together, they walk close to the edge of it all. Where they meet once again, at a crossroads.
The left or the right, only two simple options. They face each other, unable to see the bestfriend they once knew, reflecting their distorted image of each other back.
What do we do?
What do you want to do?
Go to war?
Go to war.
Destiny tied them together, in hopes of seeing this day, where chaos befalls their world, born from their relentless battles.
However, boys gifted the power of Gods are no longer boys, nor are they at the mercy of said gods.
Destiny had gone too far, expected too much.
They took a step back, together, and retraces their steps.
Forget the crossroads, they aren't going anywhere.
Their mentors, their hellish teachers, they're the ones who need to fix the world - Not them.
They.. refuse.
Not for justice, not for injustice, but for each other.
