The sun began to rise which... woke me up. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked around my surroundings and saw that I was still by myself. "I should just go home, I need to shower anyways." I picked up my backpack and started walking home.
There was still a soft breeze which gave me the chills but it's fine, I won't have to deal with it any longer. I just put my hands on my forearms and rubbed them quickly. There was at least 2 more minutes of walking until I got home.
I reached my key from my back pocket to the feel that it wasn't there. "Wait." I panicked and patted my pockets. "Shit! Shit! Shit!" I threw my bag on the ground and searched through it. "No, no!" I threw my bag over my shoulder and ran back to the field.
I barged through the gate and ran to bleachers. I looked on every bench, cracks in the ground, behind the bleachers and it was no where to be found. "What am I gonna do?" I sat down in defeat with my head rested on my hands.
"Bruce? Are you here?" I rubbed my eyes. The silence was loud. I'm so confused, he usually appears as soon as I say his name. "Bruce!" I slammed my hands on the bench. "You know what, you have to come because I have Robin and vance!" I stood up and threw my bag over my shoulder.
"Robin, can you come to me at least." I exhaled and began leaving the baseball field. I still didn't get a response. "Vance- why would I even ask you? Your probably stuck on the stupid pinball game like always!" Tears were threatening to escape my eyes but I quickly wiped them away. "Why are you guys ignoring me?" I slowly stopped walking.
I stood on the sidewalk and looked at the houses that sat in front of me. "I should just get home." Another tear slowly rolled down my cheek. "This isn't worth it."

I made it home and I used the key under the doormat. Luckily my parents were still asleep so I went straight to my room. I threw my bag somewhere and sprawled out on the floor. I took a deep breath and rubbed my eyes.
"I'm exhausted," I looked at my dresser, "but I need to shower." I slowly sat up then stood up. I gathered some clothes and walked to the bathroom. I started my shower then brushed my teeth. I looked at myself in the mirror and just sighed.

I had already finished my shower and getting dressed. I didn't want my parents to see me at all whatsoever so I left before they could. The sun had fully risen has I began walking to school. School wasn't open yet but I didn't have anywhere else to go until I remembered that I had someone.

"Finney," I said quietly as he rubbed his eyes. He had a toothbrush hanging out his mouth. "Why are you here so early?" "I- uh.. something's happened at home, y'know." I nodded and looked away. "Oh, I get it. Come in." I held my bag strap and walked to his room.
I sat on his spaceship comforter and analyzed his room. Finn was obsessed with spaceships, I love that about him. He isn't one of those guys that think they have to be masculine 24/7. I picked at my jeans. "Hey y/n! Can you wake up Gwenny please?" I hopped off the bed. "Yea, sure!" I walked to her room and slowly opened the door.
I crept towards her and placed my hands on her arms. "Gwenny, wake up." I whispered. "Five more minutes..." I smiled. I leaned to her ear and whispered. "Daniel is here.." she instantly popped up, she looked around the room and noticed he actually wasn't. "Really y/n!" She rubbed her eyes. "I mean it worked!" I shrugged, "start getting ready!" I walked out her room.
If you're wondering who Daniel is, Daniel is Gwen's crush. He's in her grade, she told me that they have a few classes together and they always talk and play. One day she said they passed notes during their whole second period class. I find it adorable.
When I walked into Finn's room he was already dressed, "I'm gonna eat breakfast, you should to." He said to me after he finished putting his shoe on. "No thank you, I'm fine." I looked at my shoes. "Y/n, you need to eat something. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." He walked up to me.
"Finney I'm fine-" "come on I'm gonna make you a bowl of cereal and you're gonna eat it." He pulled me to the kitchen and told me to sit in one of the chairs. He got two bowls out and Frosted Flakes. He poured them as well as milk. He grabbed two spoons and put them in the bowls. "Here." He placed it in front of me.
"Enjoy!" He says down and began eating. I kinda just stared at the bowl and played with the milk with the spoon. Eventually I caved in and took a bite, it felt good to eat again but it didn't really fix the pain I was feeling. "Good job." I looked at him and smiled a bit.

We entered the school building and we all went out separate ways. "Bye Finney! Bye Gwen!" I waved to them and walked into first period. When I walked through the door my heart instantly dropped, there was some girl sitting in my desk flirting with Andrew. He looked at me for a split second then looked away. I was pissed, why was some random girl sitting in my desk?
I walked over to them and stared at her. She finally realized I was there, "umm, is there a problem?" She turned her body towards me. "Yeah, there is actually. That's my seat." I crossed my arms and she rolled her eyes. "I don't see your name on it." She looked me up and down.
I was already tired from my day pryer and dealing with this was just angering me. "Alright, listen to me," I placed my hand on the desk, "I don't have time for your bullshit right now so get your preppy ass up, and go sit somewhere else." I looked her directly in the eyes, I could tell she was embarrassed from her facial expressions. She didn't move.
"I'll bash your fucking hea-" "Lindsey, just move." Andrew sighed. I could tell she had gotten scared but she tried to hide it. She scoffed, "whatever, Andrew call me later." I backed up and she went to the front of the class and sat down. I sat in my chair and looked out the window. It's finally starting to make sense of why vance and I got along so well. He's mean, and I'm mean but not all the time. "Was that really necessary?" Andrew looked at me.
I looked at him. "Who do you think I am? One of the girls that are obsessed with you? I actually stand up for myself." There's the vance energy again. "Nah, I don't think of you as that. If you were like them I wouldn't hang out with you." He shrugged. "psh, suree." I rolled me eyes.
"No I'm being serious, you're different from them, I like that about you." The bell rand and he turned around. I felt my face heating up, I placed my hands on my cheeks and looked at the board. Im glad that I did fight for the seat.

Again, it was lunch time. I was walking to the table when I saw Lindsey with Andrew again. I didn't even care anymore, I threw my food away and started leaving the lunch room. "Y/n!" I heard and I turned around. It was Finney, he was sitting with Donna. He waved me over, I walked to him and sat at the table.
"Hey y/n, how are you?" Donna asked me. "Im fine, thanks for asking. How about you?" I picked at my hands. "I'm doing good!" She smiled. Donna and I barely talk, she never made fun of me like the other kids. That's why I'm glad Finney and Donna get along.
"Later today Donna and I are going to the baseball field, do you wanna tag along?" "Sure I have nothing else to do today so why not!" I laughed and shrugged. "Okay! And we might get ice cream also!" Donna cheered. "Alright, sounds fun!" I nodded.
