Falling for Snow

Chapter 15

Snow's POV

Fuck.

I'm in Valentino's bed.

I'm currently lying with an arm wrapped around my waist and Valentino's shallow breath in my ear. I realise I've not had a nightmare and frown, was it because of him? Not wanting to wake him up I slide out of bed and walk silently out of the room.

I walk to the spare bedroom when I hear a inside from Gia's room. I go closer to the door and hear her crying. I immediately walk in and pick her up.

"Snow", she cries. "What's wrong sweetheart?" I ask concerned. "I had a bad dream, that daddy was away", she sniffles. "He's not going anywhere", I say tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Promise", she says, looking up at me. "Promise", I say kissing her forehead. "Did you have a sleep over?" Gia asks me. "Yes", I say and she giggles.

"Let's wake up daddy", she squeals. "Okay let's go", I say picking her up and walking into Valentino's room.

"Daddy daddy wake up!" Gia shouts. I laugh and see Valentino wide awake in seconds. He looks around then his eyes land on us. He has like look in his eye that I can't quite figure out.

I let Gia down on the bed and sit on the other side. "You little rascal", he tickles her. She squeals and giggles. I stifle a laugh and stand up.

"You mind if I shower?" I say pointing towards the door. "No, go ahead", he says smiling. I walk out the room and hear Gia laughing. I have a small smile on my face and it's weird.

I turn on the shower in the guest room and get inside. I don't wash my hair and just wash my body. I start to realise the makeup covering my tattoo is washing off.

I stop panicking because I remember my dress has sleeves. I need to take my contacts out but I can't, not while I'm here. I step out the shower and wrap a larger white towel around me.

I dry off and slip my dress on and heels I let my hair down and walk out of the room. I kept my bag in my car so all I have is a phone right now.

I hear Valentino's dressing Gia and I go downstairs. Five minutes later I hear footsteps and see Valentino with Gia in his arms. "You look cute", I say to Gia.

"Thank you", Valentino winks. I raise a brow at him and stand up from my seat. "I should be going", I say walking towards them.

"Oh okay, thanks for yesterday", he says, kindly. "No problem", I say. "Bye bye, Snow", Gia mumbles sadly. She leans up and kisses my cheek and I kiss hers too.

"You need to kiss daddy's cheek too", she states. I frown and look at Valentino. He points to his cheek and I huff. I lean up and kiss his cheek and he smiles.

"Bye", I say, walking out the door. I walk to my car and see another pull in. It's Luca's car. He sees me and rolls down the window.

"What are you doing here", he asks. "Nothing", I say and get in my car. He grits his teeth but smiles and says "okay, see you soon".

I nod and drive off. I drive to my place and park up. I walk inside the building and nod at the receptionist then head up.

After a minute I'm there and I unlock my door. I walk inside and put my bag down in the counter before going upstairs and straight into the bathroom.

I take out my contacts and splash my face with water. My eyes are too sore to put in more contacts so I decide to leave them put.

I walk out the bath and go into my closet and change into a grey top and shorts.

I lay in my bed and watch a movie before getting a call from Nikolai saying he wants to go out for food. I tell him it's not a good idea but he insists.

I'm currently getting ready to go out to get food with Nik and I'm wearing a grey top with grey sweatpants with white trainers. My hair is up in a messy bun and I have no makeup on.

I take a big coat and put it on before going downstairs and grabbing my bag. I leave and drive to Nikolai's penthouse.

I get there after a twenty minute drive. I arrive at Nik's and I call him to come down. He comes down a minute later and gets in my car.

"Hi", he says, buckling his seatbelt. "Hi, what do you want for food?" I ask, as I start driving. "McDonald's?" he questions. I nod and drive there.

We get to the drive through and Nik orders for us. He pays and gets the food and we eat in my car. "Mmm this is so good", he moans. I nod licking my lips as I eat my fries.

I take out the trash and put it in the bin then get in the car and drive to Nik's. I drive there and he offers for me to come up and I accept.

I take one step out of my car and I feel this pain in my stomach. I look down and see blood. I've been shot.

"Nik", I say breathing heavily. He looks at me then looks down and catches me. "Oh fuck, I'll take you to Ana", he says quickly.

I don't hear the rest as I'm passing out.

I hear a beeping noise and realise I'm in the hospital part of the base. I open my eyes and see Nikolai sitting in a chair beside the bed.

"Hi", I croak out. "Hey hey, how you feeling?" he asks softly. "I'm okay", I reply sitting up. The Ana comes in and looks happy to see me yet sad.

Ana is the bases main doctor and helps me personally of anything happens. Like this. She's a short, blond with green eyes.

She's as sweet as they come and one of the nicest women I've ever met. She became a doctor for my mafia when her son died and she really needed the money. She also specialises in plastic surgery which is why I barely have any scars.

She comes over to me and checks my chart. "How are you feeling, Snow?" She asks sweetly. "I feel fine", I say drinking water.

"Good, I've removed the bullet and the surgery went well", she says happily. "Good when can I get out of here?" I ask quickly.

"In a couple days, since it the bullet hit nothing major and your a quick healer", Ana states smiling. I nod and lay back down.

She leaves after I thank her. Nik turns to me and says "Snow I'm so sorry they meant to hit me". "It's okay Nik, I've been shot before", I say softly.

"No this is my fault", he says putting his head in his hands. I take his hand and hold it then say "it's okay, I'm fine", I say patting his hand.

He nods and smiles sadly at me. I let go of his hand and lay down fully and shut my eyes. I fall asleep in minutes from exhaustion.
