(Xanders P.O.V)

I look at my phone and notice it's Almost 9pm so I start packing up my things so I could give Nicole some time to spend with her brother, as I'm zipping up my backpack Nathan looks over his shoulder and comes to sit next to me.

"So what's up with you and my sister?" He asks

" what do you mean?" I ask

" yea like are you into her?" He says with a serious tone

"I...uh... I don't know I don't really know her to be honest, she's a very closed off person"

" yea that sounds like Nikki" he lets out a small laugh

"I've tried talking to her but .... I don't know" I say

"Is that why you agreed to help her with .... Whatever it is you guys were doing" he says gesturing my backpack

"Oh.... I'm not helping her it's our project" I say knowing he was right, the only reason I asked to partner up with her is because I wanted to try to get to know her better " if anything she's the one helping me"

He looked at me as if I was speaking Arabic " Nicole ?!" I nod " my sister???" He asks and I nod again "hmmm..... well what's your project on?"

" Ancient Greece and the Greek gods" i reply

" oh ok I get it now , my sister is a freak for that kinda stuff" he says

"Really?" I ask

"Yea Greek gods , Norse gods, ancient Egypt, angels and demons, shit like that just fascinates her"

"That's kinda cool actually" I say without really thinking about it

Nathan gives me a weird look and smiles " so has she went all chucky on anyone yet?"

"Uh.... I don't know what that means" I say and he nods

"That's the nickname I gave her" he says laughing "if she ever says 'wanna play' I highly suggest you run"

I didn't know how to respond to that so I just stood silent, Nathan decided it was to hot in the house and took his hoodie off and I seen him cover in tattoos like Nicole was "damn you guys have a lot of tattoos"

He smirks looking proudly down at his arms " yea we do, I have more then she does though"

"So Xander .... What are your intentions with Nikki" he says in his best fatherly voice

I laugh a little " I don't know man, I like her.... She seems interesting and fun to know, I'm pretty she doesn't like me like that"

"Never know til you ask or try" he says shrugging

Just then Nikki walks back into the family room "what took so long" he asked her

" I was gone 5 mins drama queen" she says "was he nice to you?" She asks me

I laugh " yea he was"

"Good" she says as he stands to his full height

" and what would you have done if I wasn't?"he asks sizing her up

It amazes me how she doesn't back down "wanna find out little brother?" She asks smiling up at him

"Maybe..." says as he kicks her leg "owww what the fuck are you wearing?"

She puts her left leg on the coffee table and pulls up her pant leg revealing a very thick black monitor "my new jewelry"

Nathan shakes his head "don't worry sis tomorrow we'll be twinning" she laughs

"Looks like you got a keeper sis" Nathan says randomly

"What do you mean" she says sitting down next to me

He nods his head towards me "you haven't scared your boyfriend off yet" she rolls her eyes

"I guess I don't scare easy" I say smirking, making her look at me

"Shit just got real!" Nathan shouts sitting straight up as she smacks his arm "see your mean!"

"I am not" she says laughing

" mmhmm, well I'm gonna go take a shower and pass out in a real bed" he says as he gets up and hugs Nikki and fist bumps me.

As soon as he's gone she turns to me " I'm sorry about him"

I shrug "it's alright, you guys seem very close"

She nods "we are, after our mom passed, it was just the two of us, fucking up together and everything"

" well I should get going, I had a good time with you" I tell her

" is that right?" She says

We both get up as she walks me to the front door " yea, I really did" I say making a small smile surface " same time tomorrow?"

She nods " yea, forsure"

" great see you tomorrow then"

" see you tomorrow" she says as I walk out to my car. The drive home seemed longer then it was, I guess I'm just lost in a train of thought, I can't get her out of my head. I'm not sure why but I want her, and I want her to want me, I just have no idea how I'm gonna do that .....
