-Shoto-

I entered my Japanese style home and was greeted by my Mum. "Shoto! How was your first day at UA?"

I smiled. "It was actually pretty nice not being homeschooled for once. We had a quirk assessment today and I ranked second out of the class."

Mum blinked; it was strange that I didn't get first. "Who got first?"

"Momo did," I said. I'd known Momo for a while; we weren't friends, but we'd always hang out whenever our parents dragged us to business parties. Iida was sometimes there too, but I didn't really know him as well.

"I have a surprise for you," Mum said excitedly.

"Oh really? What?"

On cue, a familiar voice yelled, "SHOBRO!!"

I turned around with a wide grin on my face as I saw my pro hero older brother turning the corner and running at me. "Touya! You're home?!" I laughed as my brother wrapped me in a hug. When he put me down, I was still smiling. "I thought you were in Kyoto."

Touya laughed and ran a hand through his messy white hair. "Did you really think I'd miss my little brother's first day at UA? If I wasn't here, Father would kill me!"

I heard the front door open. "Speaking of Father..." I said turning around to see my father and sister entering the house.

"Shoto! How was school?" Endeavor chuckled, ruffling my hair.

"Father, my hair," I whined, patting my hair down. "Do you realise how long it took me to get to part like this?"

Fuyumi kicked off her shoes. "Hey Shoto, what do you want for dinner?"

"Soba," I said automatically.

She and Mum went to the kitchen to make dinner, while Father, Touya, and I went to the backyard. "Man, I still can't believe you got into UA," Touya groaned. "I had to settle with Shiketsu."

"What are you complaining about? You're the one who recommended him for UA," Father asked incredulously. "I still can't believe Shoto went with your recommendation instead of mine. I mean, I basically created him!" he complained. Both Touya and I chuckled at Father's indignant expression.

"No offence, but you're kind of a jerk sometimes. I don't want to be associated with you," I teased.

Father groaned. "Remind me why I wanted to have kids."

Touya was about to make a snarky comment when his phone rang. "Huh?" he asked, pulling it out of his pocket. "Oh, it's Natsu."

He passed the phone to me and I answered the facetime call. When I was on camera, Natsuo gasped. "Shobro! I'm so sorry I can't be home for dinner tonight. I have to study for an exam. How was your first day? Have you made any friends yet?"

I sighed. "It was the first day, Natsuo. I didn't talk to anyone."

"Blah blah blah," Natsuo teased. "People are gonna think you're a moody depressed loser. How are you gonna get a boyfriend if that's your reputation? I mean-"

I rolled my eyes and hung up on him. Father looked a bit sad. "I'm sorry for not exposing you to more social situations. You're a lot different at home than you are out in public."

"So are you," Touya and I said at the same time.

"You're a total tsundere to your fans," Touya commented.

"At least I'm not a jerk! I take pictures and give autographs," Father protested.

"DINNER'S READY!!" Fuyumi called from inside the house.

"Race you!" Touya yelled, already taking off.

"Hey, no fair!" I protested, sliding on my ice to catch up.

"No quirks in the house!" Father bellowed behind me. "Your mother has enough of your anitics to deal with even without all the fire and ice!"

It was true; Touya and I were very competitive, even though I could've sworn he always let me win. Like usual, I beat him to the table and sat down on the floor cushion. After a few words, we dug into the soba, talking eagerly about my new school and Fuyumi's new students. Touya's agency had a sudden surge in popularity recently, and Father was super proud of him. Mum, who had retired when she had gotten pregnant with Touya, was beaming at all of us. Natsuo was probably studying hard for his future medical degree. Father had worked so hard to make sure we had everything we'd ever want, even sacrificing patrol hours to spend time with us.

"Hey, Shobro," Touya said, snapping me out of my happy thoughts.

"This better be important," I sighed.

"You wanna go check out that new movie about Father?"

My eyes widened. "Can we?" I asked Father.

"As long as you don't talk about it when you get home," the Flame Hero sighed. He hated it when people made film adaptations about his life. He always used to complain about it, saying 'save the cameras for when I'm number one'.

"Thanks Father!" both of us yelled, causing Fuyumi to roll her eyes at our antics.

After dinner, we left for the cinema in Touya's black sedan. "Why is everything you own either black or blue? Are you still in your emo phase?"

"Pfft- If so, I'm the most cheerful, energetic emo to ever exist," Touya muttered.

We pulled into the cinema and bought our tickets.

As Izuku and I took our seats near the middle of the theatre, I caught sight of a familiar red and white head of hair near the front. As the previews started to play, I pointed him out to my brother. "Hey, isn't he in our class?"

"Yeah, I wonder what he's doing here. Does he live near here?"

Both of us shrugged and sat back to enjoy the movie. It was actually pretty accurate, even if the actor looked nothing like Endeavor.

When the movie was over, we left the theatre. I looked behind me for some reason and caught sight of the dual-colored hair again. He offered me a shy wave and walked away, following a white haired man.

I shook it off and followed Izuku home. He'd officially apologised and explained that he'd wanted to see me happy for once.

If that's what he wanted, then I'd better make more friends quickly, starting with that dual-haired boy.

If you didn't expect that outcome, you clearly didn't read the tags. And if that's the case, it's a good thing you aren't reading on AO3.
