-Izuku-

I sat in the prep room, waiting to be called out to the arena. Uraraka had just left, so I sat alone at the table, bouncing my leg up and down nervously.

Something was off about Todoroki's performance this entire school year. It had been extremely rare for him to be using his flames, and he seemed to use his right side more than his left. Was he trying to trick us? Did he have some sort of limiting situation? Or was he saving his flames for some sort of dark horse super move?

Whatever the case, Todoroki was going to be a tough opponent, and our fight would mean a lot for the future of hero society. The son of Endeavor versus All Might's successor. I didn't want to let All Might down, but at the same time, I wasn't sure if I could win without 100% of One for All.

I had to choose between All Might and Ikemoto.
As I was called out to the arena, I chose All Might.

Todoroki's POV

My greatest fear at that moment was that Midori would try to murder me after this.

I really should have thought of it before, but I only just realised that having to fight the older Midoriya could result in having the younger Midoriya gunning for my life.

I shook my head violently to clear my head from these thoughts. As Father would say, 'Focus on the fight ahead, so you can move on to the fight beyond'. It's time to put my game face on.

I took a deep breath as I stood on the cement fighting ring, taking in the loud cheers of the crowd. I'd dreamed of standing in the spotlight like this since I was a child. I'd been taught how to fight, and how to smile and make others feel better.

Fuyumi tells me that I could kill anyone with a smile of mine.

"Flashfreeze heatwave," I whispered to myself. The supermove that only I could pull off, the one I'd been saving for an insane spectacle.
And I was going to use it against Izuku Midoriya.

"BEGIN!!" Mic screamed from the announcer's box.

I wasted no time using a Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall directed at the greenette. The ice grew and spread towards him before they stopped at the flick of Midoriya's fingers. The air pressure from his hand ripped through the stadium, and I switched to defence to create a small ice blockade behind me to keep myself from blowing out of bounds.

I immediately went back to attacking, launching ice wall after ice wall at Midoriya. Each time he broke a different finger to stop them. "You just don't give up, do you?" I asked, growing a bit worried for him.

"Why won't you use your fire?" he countered. "Why aren't you giving your all?" he yelled.

When I finish this fight, I want orange juice. Orange juice makes me happy.
Oh wait... I have to finish this fight first. "You want my fire? Careful what you wish for."

I launched one last ice wall at Midoriya, lowering the temperature far enough to create a massive explosion once I used Flashfreeze Heatwave. To my shock, instead of flicking his fingers like last time, Midoriya decided to jump over the barricade of ice, preparing his hand for a devastating strike.

I quickly switched to my left side and summoned all the fire I could, blasting it in a concentrated stream at him. Before our attacks made contact however, several walls of concrete leapt up from the floor and blocked our attacks.

An explosion larger than I'd ever created before rocked the stadium.

-Ikemoto-

I shielded my eyes from the force of the explosion, wincing as the hot wind blasted into my face. When the smoke cleared, I could see my brother's bruised, broken, and mangled body at the edge of the stadium.
