Aizawa entered the room, and everyone scrambled to their seats. "Let's get right to the point," he grumbled. "Our first task will decide your future. You all need to pick a class representative."
The class erupted into chaos, as everyone jumped up and started screaming for people to vote for them. I already knew I was going to be voting for Izuku, so I wasn't too concerned, but I could tell that all the noise was hurting Jiro.
"HEY, SHUT UP!! ALL OF YOU IDIOTS NEED TO CALM DOWN!!" I yelled from my seat in the back of the room. Everyone turned around to look at me. "If all you're going to do is scream and cause chaos, what sort of leader would you make? All of you idiots need to calm down and act like adults. Stop acting like you belong in a preschool," I snarled. "Oh, and vote for Izuku. That's all I have to say on this matter."
The class and I stared at each other until Iida suggested that we do a democratic vote to decide the president. When the votes were tallied up, Izuku got a total of fourteen votes, while Yaoyorozu got three, and I had gotten two.
"Class rep is Izuku Midoriya, and our deputy rep is Yaoyorozu," Aizawa drawled.
-Izuku-
I sat down to eat lunch with Iida and Uraraka, while Ikemoto went to go eat with Jiro, Kaminari, and Todoroki. I was glad he was making friends; neither of us had really had any since I was diagnosed as quirkless.
I was really lucky to have a younger brother like Ikemoto. He'd stood up for me for as long as I could remember, and he'd also gotten me the position of class rep. I wasn't about to let him down.
Suddenly, an alarm went off, jolting me out of my thoughts. "WARNING. LEVEL THREE SECURITY BREACH. ALL STUDENTS PLEASE EVACUATE IN AN ORDERLY FASHION."
Everyone started running out of the cafeteria in a panic, and Iida and I were smushed into the window. "It's the media," Iida siad, looking outside.
I followed his gaze and saw that it was true. "EVERYONE CALM DOWN!! IT'S JUST THE MEDIA!!" I yelled as loudly as I could. No one seemed to hear me, other than Ikemoto and Todoroki, that is. Suddenly, I was standing on a small platform of ice. Everyone stopped and stared at me, and I realised that this was my chance to calm everyone down. "It's just some news reporters; it's nothing to worry about, guys," I said calmly as I could.
Everyone relaxed, and the teachers dissolved the situation, allowing everyone to go back to what they had been doing. Todoroki and Ikemoto came up to me and melted the ice pillar I had been standing on.
"That was so cool, Nii-san!" Ikemoto said. "Maybe there's hope for you after all!"
"Ike-kun, you little jerk," I grumbled as I stepped back onto the ground.
My brother gave me a broad, self-satisfied grin and ran off, probably to meet up with Kaminari and Jiro. Todoroki gave me a polite nod and ran after him.

After the media break-in, we went back to class and finished up the rest of the day. As we all left to go home, we were given permission slips to be filled out for a trip to a training facility off campus tomorrow.
Todoroki and I watched as everyone filed out of the building before we went over to the gym to get in extra training. Kaminari had decided to stay behind with us. Not surprisingly, Monoma was already in the gym when we got there, except this time, he was flipping around on hanging gymnastics rings.
"Woah, who's that?!" Kaminari gasped, pointing at Monoma doing flips and catching himself by grabbing the rings.
"Monoma. He's in 1-B," Todoroki said.
"He's so cool!" Kaminari said. "I wish I could do flips like that."
"Whatever, Kaminari," I said. "The electric equipment is over there. Run off and try not to fry your brain."
Kaminari pouted and ran away to the electric equipment, while Todoroki went over to a different part of the gym to practice his ice moves. Monoma got down from the gymnastics rings, and I started teaching him how to use my quirk.
After UA's campus closed, the four of us went home, Todoroki and Monoma splitting off to go in their own separate directions. Apparently, Todoroki lived really close to UA, much to the jealousy of the rest of us.
Kaminari boarded the train together and went home.
The next day, we got to school, ready for our all-day trip to the training facility. "Now it's time for today's hero basic training, this time All Might, myself, and one more person will supervise your training and make sure it all goes well, Aizawa sighed.
I saw Sero raise his hand. "Um, what're we doing today?"
"We are preparing you for disaster reliefs, from fires to floods, and everything in between. Aizawa responded and held up a card with the word 'RESCUE' written in bold. "We're doing rescue training."
Everyone started to cheer, and I sighed. It's going to be a long day. At least I had people to talk to, though. "Hey, I'm not done," Aizawa shut everyone up. He clicked the button and our hero costume cases popped out of the wall. "It's up to you if you want to wear your costume or not. Some of them are ill-suited for this sort of activity. The training site is a bit remote, so we'll be going by bus. That is all. Get ready."
Everyone stood up and started walking to their costumes. I grabbed mine and started walking to the locker room. We got changed and got on the bus, Izuku making sure nothing bad happened as we boarded.
When we got there, I walked off the bus and saw the prohero, Thirteen. She started to talk about the zones and explained her quirk. "My quirk can easily kill. There's no doubt there are some among you with similar statistics", she began. She then started talking about how we were going to use our quirks to save people instead of harming them. There isn't a lot I could do with Thermokinesis, but I guess I could try. Maybe burning rubble was the best I could do in this situation. Not that it was of any interest to me; I still didn't understand the appeal of becoming a hero.
Why would I want to help strangers? None of that could benefit me.
We all started walking inside, and I saw dark purple mist start to form. Villains started to walk out of the mist, triggering my protection instincts and I reached for Izuku who was standing next to me. "Huddle up and stay back! Thirteen, protect the students!" Aizawa yelled.
"What are those things? Has the training started already?" Kirishima asked.
"Get out of here! Those are villains!" our homeroom teacher yelled. I saw Aizawa jump down and start to attack some of the villains.
I reminded myself to not be afraid. I had to be strong for Izuku. "Thirteen, where are the intruder sensors, and why aren't they working?" I demanded.
"I-I don't know, they should be activating," Thirteen said, her voice shaking. I watched Aizawa fight off the villains easily. "Come on everyone!" Thirteen yelled. Everyone started to run towards the exit.
"I won't allow that," I heard a voice say. A guy whose body is made out of mist appeared in front of us and started to talk. "Greetings, we are the League of Villains. Forgive our audacity, but today we've come to UA High, this bastion of heroism to end the life of All-Might. We were under the impression that All Might would be here today, but it seems his schedule was changed? Well, no matter my role remains unchanged," the mist guy monologued.
I saw Kirishima and Bakugo run and attack the villain, getting in Thirteen's way. Those idiots; even I wouldn't have done something so rash.
I watched as mist surrounded us, and then I couldn't see my surroundings anymore. The next thing I knew, I was falling.
