※Chapter Fourteen

Author's POV

Kai thought that everything had been sorted out between them after the last night incidents but he was absolutely wrong.

Nothing had changed he could see.

Sehun was still as cold as before towards him. It was even worse than before.

"Sehun, how are you feeling today?," he sincerely asked out of concern. He truly cared about him, really care.

But the latter only replied with a slight nod, "Yeah, I'm better," he replied curtly before busied himself in doing other things.

Kai sighed deeply. He was still trying to figure out what actually happened for Sehun to be acting this way. 

He raised his face to look at Sehun and noticed those swollen eyes, probably from crying yesterday. 

It sting him to be seeing Sehun like this.

Unconsciously to him, he reached out his arms to caress those cheeks. "Are you sure you are okay?," he asked softly.

Sehun slapped his hand away in surprise. He was looking at him with his widened eyes, before turning his gaze away to not make any eye contacts.

Both of them fell into silence afterwards. Neither of them wanted to say anything.

Kai slowly pulled back his hand, keeping it on the table. He took a deep breath when a painful feeling started creeping in his heart.

Sehun felt guilty for reacting that way. It was his own self-reflects and it hurt much more when he caught the glimpse of pain in those eyes.

Was he being too much?

He was going to apologize before the sounds of door bell filled the silence. Both of them automatically turned their heads towards the door.

Without saying anything, Kai stood up from his seat and walked towards the door. Leaving the still in guilt Sehun.

"I'm sorry," the only thing he could mutter, to himself.

He looked over from a far and saw Chanyeol entering the house, he took a deep breath and was about to walk towards him.

But another figure that appeared behind him made him think otherwise. 

"Hyung, what brings you here?," Kai furrowed his eyebrows when he saw Chanyeol, he glanced at his side where he released a heavy sigh.

Chanyeol shrugged his shoulder and hinted at the person behind him which Kai could right away understand it.

"Baekhyun," Kai sighed out deeply. "What are you doing here?," he asked as he closed the door behind them.

It was not like he didn't like having Baekhyun around but his situation with Sehun was already bad enough and having him around would make things worse.

Baekhyun lifted one of his eyebrows, questioning it. "Kai, of course because I miss you," he replied. 

"We haven't met each other for so long," he continued and began clinging on Kai's arm who was looking tired of everything.

Chanyeol furrowed his eyebrows but he just shook his head and made his way towards Sehun.

"Hey, Sehun," he greeted him and took a seat right beside him. His eyebrows furrowed when he noticed the uneasy expression on the latter's face.

Sehun huffed sharply before turning to Chanyeol with his usual smile. "Hi, Chanyeol Hyung," he  greeted him back.

"Do you want anything? A drink?," he asked.
