Hours passed as it grew close to six o'clock; you sat in-front of your mirror, reapplying your makeup and jewellery as you waited for Reiner to knock on your door and ask you if you were ready.

After buying the dress that Connie had picked out, you both went to different shops to buy jewellery, shoes and a eye-shadow palette to match the different shades in the floral design.

Your fingers traced the inside of your favourite lotion, massaging it against your chest before applying a soft-strawberry smelling perfume to your collar and neck.

You smiled softly at your reflection, feeling genuinely pretty as you dusted off the ends of your dress.

You heard him knock.

Your smile lit up, swiftly slipping on your shoes before lacing your fingers around the handle to see Reiner stood at the entrance; his shoulder blade was pressed against the door-frame with his chin tilted upwards. He wore a white shirt that was unbuttoned at the top, and a navy jacket against his shoulders.

You glanced down, adjusting your dress as a smirk grew against his lips.

Reiner tilted his head up a little more, "You ready?"

You tilted your head back whilst giving him a confused stare: you were unsure on how he was going to react to the way you looked - you'd spent at least two hours primping yourself for the evening together.. but he didn't even mention it.

You cleared your throat, "Yeah, of course."

The evening was warm with a golden hue.

You sat on a fancy-glass table with a group of people you barely knew; the only people you had spoken to were Reiner's mother and younger cousin.

Reiner had swiftly disappeared to go 'catch-up' with a few close, family friends, leaving you to follow the only people you knew like a lost-puppy. But, luckily for you, his mother and family had always taken a liking to you.

She poured you a little more Rosé, endlessly talking about her opinions on every expensive dish that was being served at the event. You had been completely silent for the past two hours, but she spoke so much that she didn't seem to notice. You slowly sipped at your almost-empty glass, ever so often hearing one of the people on your table laugh uncontrollably at a joke you didn't understand.

You leaned a little further back, sighing boredly as you carried on adjusting your dress.

You sighed into your hand, thoughtfully manifesting that Reiner would return and offer you to dance, or even just ask you to go for a walk around the courtyards. But alas, another half-an-hour passed and he was no where in sight.

You flicked your painted-nails against the glass, creating a rhythmic tune as you struggled to stay awake due to your own boredom.

You finally perked your head, "I'm sorry," You finally interrupted as she at last took a break from rambling, "I'm gonna go look for Reiner, I won't be too long."

She nodded, "Please do, he's missing out on all of the fun."

'Not really, but okay-' You finally stood, brushing off your dress to look for your boyfriend.

Your hands clasped behind your hips as you searched around the area to find him. The smells of an array of varying flowers filled your nose as you walked through the fields and pathways.
