Eamon carefully rummaged through Tori's belongings, searching for one thing only and feeling super relieved and excited when he finally found it. He gingerly held the key to the storage room entrance in his hand, unable to believe he was able to finally escape now. While Justin and Cole were torturing Tori, and while Keith and Velo were celebrating in the pool area and Camdren and Elisa remained in the bed room for now, Eamon took no further hesitation in leaving the glass building.

It felt strange to leave after spending so much time as Tori's prisoner. Eamon lifted his wings and flew out, carefully shutting the entrance before continuing to fly out. The twilight air felt magical, something wonderful he could finally experience. The grass was slightly damp after a light evening rain. Eamon could still smell that pleasant earthy scent of rain on asphalt. It calmed him, made him feel at peace for once.

As he walked further along the road, Eamon began to notice things he hadn't had much chance to notice nor really experience until now: the quiet rustle of trees, the soft caressing wind, happy chirps, car tires on the road, a far off airplane.

The closer he came to the city, the more the peaceful sounds progressed into louder noises of the city: cars driving, cell phones ringing, people talking, dogs barking, tires slamming on their brakes, and music from stores.

Eamon pulled the hood of his jacket up more over his head, his dark eyes cautiously scanning the area. He didn't want anyone catching wind of who he was, of what Tori turned him into. He wanted to feel human again, feel like the way he used to feel.

It was like his life had flipped over in an hourglass. Instead of being on top, Eamon was on the bottom, feeling each grain of sand called pain fall down on him until it was all he was able to feel. He was desperate to escape, wanting freedom from his pain more than freedom outside the glass building.

As a human, Eamon was used to having things his way. He always got what he wanted and nobody dared stand in his way. He loved many women, stole many expensive cars, harassed and bullied those he felt were beneath him, and lived without a worry in his life, even after waking up as an irangel.

But now worry crept in. After Millian's death, Eamon came to the horrifying reality that he was one of Tori's unwilling test subjects in her secret irangel experimentation. He had never felt such fear, fear that encompassed him to where he was shaken by all he had seen and experienced.

When he saw Keith's body change and how the others reacted to being subjected to various torture, Eamon felt shattered, like he was on the razor's edge himself. Watching the gradual suffering of the irangels, he began to realize it was the end of a normal life for any of them.

He didn't know why, but it began to bother him that he might not even get laid for the last time before he would die. He hadn't cared for neither Camdren and Elisa's sexual relationship nor the drama slash love triangle that occurred with Nate, Tori, and Justin. But now Eamon sensed death a very real possibility and he wanted at least one good thing before his life was to end.

He had no idea where to go, but he wanted to forget all that he had been through. As he walked past city streets into the downtown area, he decided a club would be a good place to forget his troubles. I can just get lost in the music, feel alive, get laid, and pretend the whole thing with Tori was just a bad dream, he thought, walking towards a brightly lit clubroom.

As he approached the clubroom, Eamon felt a small apprehension knot within him as the bouncer at the door eyed him warily. He immediately squared his shoulders, stood straighter, and attempted to look tough. He nodded to the bouncer and attempted to get in, but the bouncer put a tattooed hand on his shoulder. Eamon pulled out his wallet and showed the bouncer his ID. The bouncer glanced at it, then removed his hand from his shoulder and let him through.
