Chapter 24
Okay so the story was a little bit funny, I have to admit.
"Wow, that was bad" I chuckle looking at Neville who had gone a bright shade of red, Kat laughs along with the rest of us while she strokes Neville's leg soothingly.
"Whatever guys" he mutters holding up the menu above his face "Aw Nev, no need to be such a spoil sport" I chuckle, he doesn't get to get a response out because a short skirted blonde bombshell comes over standing directly at the head of the table immediately grabbing everybody's attention.
I immediately recognise her as the girl Monica was it? The one who Rein took to the movies a couple of weeks ago. And based on what happened then I don't know if this night will get any better or less awkward than it currently is.
I look to Rein concerned and he noticeably turned a sickly shade of white at the sight of her, while Neville just pins the girl with a glare. But Archer refuses to look at me, then I remember why I had to go to the movies in the first place... because he wanted a kiss. A kiss that I gave him, and afterwards I rejected him...
Now I know why he won't look at me.
"Can I take your orders tonight?" She ask Ignoring Neville's glare, staring directly at Rein while she speaks. She licks her lips seductively at him and I almost vomit up the coffee in my stomach.
"No, no you may not" Neville growls which earns him a smack across the back if his head from Kat and Dad.
"Be nice" Kat growls at him and dad just gives him a death glare "Manners boy" he warns.
Dad turns to the girl and clears his throat "I'll have the steak with prawn and garlic sauce, and my wife will have the chicken Caesar salad" he grins handing her the menu.
"What can I get you guys?" She asks looking at Kat, she clears her throat "I'll have the garden salad with vinegar and beans and my boyfriend will have the steak medium rare, with a side of salad" I snicker at this, earning me the glare from Neville, I know he hates salad, he starts to protest with Kat but she raises her eyebrow at him, mouthing the words Xbox, I barely manage to hold back a grin.
Blonde turns to Rein disdain in her eyes "What can I get you?" She spits, what happened to the rainbows and Butterfly's she was vomiting on him before?
"I'll have the cheese burger with extra salad and mayonnaise" he says pretending to be engrossed in the menu, not looking at her as he hands the menu back to her.
"And you?" She asks Archer, she licks her lips and gives him a shy smile, oh so that's who she was doing it to before, well I can tell you it's not going down.
I have no idea where this sudden rage of emotions came from as I feel myself digging my nails into the palm of my hands, I watch Archer for a reaction, and he does the unthinkable, he turns to me and winks.
Melting me to a pile of Goo, right into the floor and my lights my face to flames "I'll get the beef lasagne and a small coffee, black with two sugars for Raff" he sends me a heart dropping smile, and I once again feel like I have been lit on fire.
My gaze is stuck in his, he moves his hand to cover mine, smoothing it out so I don't dig the crescent shape my nails into my hand anymore. I quickly look away letting my hair fall between us like a curtain.
Rein snicker from beside me and I elbow him in the rib, and I then make the mistake of looking up and finding everybody's gaze locked on mine and Archers little scene. Mum and Kats looks are ones of awe, dad and Neville raise their eyebrows at Archer in warning, and Rein just high fives Archer behind the chair.
