Y/ns POV: Lately I've been hanging out with Sal a lot more and I feel different when I'm around him, more happier, he always knows how to help me with things and we're really close friends now, sometimes when I look at him I get butterflies in my stomach and whenever I do something stupid in front of him I feel really embarrassed, not how I used to not care and laugh about it with him.
"Ash, I think I might have a crush on Sal" she didn't say anything for a couple of minutes, "How? When? What? Did you tell him? Do you need help confessing?" she kept asking me so many questions about what I was going to do and then she said she was going to come over. 10 minutes later she's here, I told Mary that Ash was here and we went to my room.
"So explain, how did you know? How are you sure?" she asked, "Whenever me and him hang out I get butterflies in my stomach and he's always so sweet and kind! Ash, I don't know what to do!" I said as I fell on my bed and hugged my pillow, "You know what your should do?!" she as she jumped up "Secret admirer letters!" she finished her sentence with a big smile.
"Write him one now!" she grabbed my hand and dragged me over to my desk, I got a piece of paper and a pen and started writing something cringy. "Aww this is cute but your handwriting is terrible" I looked at her shocked but it was just for dramatic effect, "I made it like that so he doesn't know who it's from!"

At school (the next day)
I slipped the note into Sals locker and told Ashley, we went through our day as normal until Sal came to our table at lunch, "Someone's pranking me" he said sitting down, he sounded pretty annoyed about it, he showed us the letter and Larry read it loud, Ash and I looked at each other panicked, "Who knows, maybe someone does like you" Larry said teasing Sal, Sal just rolled his eyes, in the next class I wrote him another one.

After school I was going to go to the shops with Mary to buy things for her unborn child so I decided it would be a good time to get him a little gift. I told Ash all about my plan and she said that's a great idea. Mary picked me up from school and I said bye to the others and then we drove to the shops.
"Mary, I want to talk to you about something" I told her before we arrived, I didn't want anyone else hearing this, "What is it, little one" I was rethinking my choices but now I guess I had to tell her, "I like Sal! And I have been sending him secret admirer letters and I need to buy him a present to give him with the next note!" I said, I had nothing to lose and not like she was going to care much, she was my sister "Aww that's cute! What were you thinking of buying him?" I shrugged cause I wasn't sure and she face-palmed "I'm pretty sure when you want to buy a gift for someone you at least need to think of what you want to give them" she explained to me, I gave her a little smile "Ok, does he know it someone close to him giving him these notes?" "No, but he also thinks it's a prank! What about a ruler?" she looked at me like I was the stupidest person alive, "I'm going to punch you, let's just buy him a bracelet with his name on it!" she said, then we got out of the car and went inside the shops. "Ok there's the jewellery store, tell them what you want, child", I went up to the lady working and asked her if she could make me one for tomorrow, a bracelet with the name Sal, she told us to come back in 2 hours, which would give us enough time to buy clothes and toys for the baby, we also finally found out the gender and it's going to be a boy!
"What about this cute stuffed bear?" Mary put it in the cart and we looked around for hours, we found so many cute clothes and everything a baby could need, Mary said she's going to have the baby's place in her room and have a little play corner for him. We left the store and went back to the jewellery one, "That will be $200, cash or card" the lady said handing us the bracelet, it as so pretty! And perfect for Sal, Mary payed and we left. It was around 8pm and Sal and Larry saw us entering and they said hi and we talked for a bit, they asked about Austin, (that's what he's name is going to be). Mary and I had our dinner and we went to sleep.
