𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁, a little too quiet for my personal taste. Bad things happened when it was quiet, it was strange not to hear the school halls filled with noise as they were just before.
However, it wasn't actually quiet at all. It just felt quiet because to everyone else, I wasn't even there. I was invisible, a particle that wasn't clear to their naked eyes.
Ever since it got awkward between Ishikawa and I, I had started eating alone, hanging out with me, myself and I. I was trying to gather my thoughts, work everything out without any stress.
"Things haven't changed, huh?" The girl in front of me twisted around to face me, her hands held behind her back as she kicked her foot. It felt like I was staring into a puddle of water only to see my reflection staring right back at me.
"Of course things have changed, it just might not seem like it at first glance" crossing my arms, I looked directly into her eyes, she had stared back with her blank expression.
Scoffing, she turned her head to the side "if things have changed then why is everyone walking through you like a ghost, they only notice you when you hangout with your friends."
She then turned back to face me and bit down onto her lip "are you going to lie to me, again, to us again? Are you going to stand here and tell me that's nothing changed as you're barely noticed?"
Her words were being thrown at me like stones, was I really such a bitter mouth when I was younger? Although, I couldn't speak a word of disagreement, because she had a point with where she was going.
"Our relationship with Ishikawa stands undecided, don't you think it's time to give up?" her eyes narrowing, her feet kicked against the floor again as she grumbled.
Eyes landing against her grumpy pout, I could only smile in return. "Give up? What's the point in giving up when I've barely even tried yet?" With a grin, I made my way over to the mirrored girl and placed my hand upon her head.
"Keep trying, [Ln], you'll make progress" ruffling her hair up slightly, I closed my eyes with peace and when I had re-opened them, she was gone, just like that. Maybe she was never here in the first place, or maybe she was always here.
One step forward and I already smacked my face directly into someone, from the feels of it, I had also just ran into their chest. "I am so sorry!" Backing away, I panicked and then met eyes with the victim I had bumped into.
"Iuraaaa!" Gasping his name, I extended on the last letter of his name before wobbling around like a mad man, my face turning red as I bowed in apology over and over again.
"Woah calm down, it was an accident and I don't mind!" Trying to calm me down with one of his goofy smiles, he started to chuckle with anxiety as he noticed that I hadn't calmed down a bit.
He then looked to both sides of me and pulled his expression into one that held confusion "heyyy, [Yn], where's your buddy Tooru?" He raised his hand to above his eyes and searched around.
"You do realise that we're not always together, right?" With a sigh, I gathered myself before looking into his eyes. Maybe if I stared long enough, something would change.
Maybe if I stared long enough, I could figure out if he had really meant to give me those flowers. I love you is friendly too, right? Maybe he just loves me as a close friend, that would be sweet.
"[Yn]? You're looking at me pretty intensely" Iura glanced around with a nervous tone caught in his throat, sweat dripping down the side of his head as if he was hiding something from me.
Fixing my posture, I grunted into my hand to clear my throat before smiling up towards him. "Iura, got any plans today?" Though I was smiling towards him with all sweetness, I felt so off.
