Rain pattered heavily against the window, wind rattling the glass within its frame. Thunder boomed, flashes of light casting Aurora's face in a silver glow. The night was half through, and yet the girl still found herself restless.

It had been a long while since she had completed a full night's sleep, but Aurora was growing used to her nightly ritual of studying Camelot during the darkness. Nothing much changed aside from the clouds in the sky and the muffled yells of drunken men leaving the tavern far later than they should have.

Merlin slept soundly- as usual. Every so often, the peaceful silence was broken by a snort, followed by the smacking of lips and the rushing of sheets as he rolled back and forth in the limited space.

Aurora stared lovingly upon her brother's figure. He was much calmer in sleep, less wrinkles marring his young forehead. It was the only time he could be without worry of something happening.

Those thoughts were short lived, pushed from her mind to be replaced with a frantic young voice of a boy.

"Keep going, keep going, keep going."

The words repeated in her head like a broken record, and she clutched at her ears as Merlin gasped himself awake. He sat up, immediately searching for his sister's figure in the darkness.

"Merlin," She muttered, and he glanced with half shut lids towards her, not questioning why she was there, "You heard him?"

"Loud and clear."

"Where are they?" Aurora asked, and Merlin clenched his eyes shut, focusing on the direction of the voice.

"Walking towards the chambers." He replied, scrambling from his bed to pull a jacket over his nightclothes, Aurora following suit as the two raced from the room.

The darkness spread through the dimly lit corridors, casting distorted shadows along the stone walls that the girl paid no attention to, focusing only on Merlin's hurrying steps in front of her. The voice of that boy echoed on repeat through her mind, causing a ringing and an oncoming headache.

Aurora bumped into his back as Merlin skidded to a stop, hunching over as the voice rang louder.

"Morgana's chamber next."

With those words, the siblings turned tail and ran through the door they had come through moments prior. Aurora paused as Merlin was pulled by his neck, held against the stone wall. The girl sighed in relief upon seeing Arthur and a crowd of knights.

"Merlin?"

"Morgana's chambers." He wheezed, and Arthur's face became one of confusion. Merlin battered at the Prince's arm of which still held his neck tightly. He released him, and the warlock panted.

"They're in Morgana's chambers." Aurora repeated for him, and Arthur didn't waste a second. The small crowd of them hurried through the halls towards the Lady's chambers, Arthur congratulating Merlin's initiative.
