Morgana Pendragon's bedchamber was in ruins. The charred remains of wooden chairs and burnt curtains lay across the darkened floor. Aurora crossed her arms, the cold breeze drifting in through the shattered window beside her.

Uther glared at Gwen, arms folded over his chest as him and Arthur listened as she recounted her night. Merlin moved around the broken wood from the floor, placing it off to the side to keep away any hazards from the inhabitants of the room.

"I came back in with some extra blankets; there was a candle but I put it out." The girl insisted, and Aurora looked down into the courtyard.

"Are you sure?" Uther drawled, as if accusing Gwen of attempting to kill Morgana.

"I blew it out, I swear!"

"Gwen's been Morgana's servant for years, I believe her." Arthur agreed. Aurora hid a smile; the Prince had become less full of himself since the tournament, and she was half-hoping it was because of her.

Uther sighed, walking slowly towards the broken window. Aurora dipped her head, moving back towards her brother as he handed her the remains of a wooden chest.

"She could've been burnt alive."

"Lightning struck the castle roof last night. That could've started the fire." Arthur suggested, discreetly taking the chest from Aurora's hands to place it behind him. She shook her head but still nodded her head in a thanks.

"Perhaps."

"What other explanation is there?"

"Someone started the fire deliberately."

Aurora trolled her eyes as Merlin pranced along before her, hands empty of the herbs he had been carrying previously. Now, they rested in her hands, along with a small basket of everything else Gaius had asked for. Lazy boy.

Merlin slowed in front of Gaius' door as the man's voice drifted down the hall through the gap in the doorframe. The boy peeked through, Aurora shuffling beside him to look as well.

Morgana sat with her back to the door, Gaius by her side as he comforted the Lady. Even through the blanket wrapped around her shoulders, Aurora could clearly see the shivers that wracked her body, yet she wasn't sure it was the cold that had caused it.

"You're the only person I've told about my dreams," Morgana's voice was understandable now, "I know I can trust you, Gaius."

"Yes, of course you can."
