"The interior is very hot." The science teacher started another sentence but was interrupted by the bell.
Lucy tossed her backpack over her shoulders and dashed out the door into the halls now clamoring with students. It wasn't hard for her to spot Robin walking out of his class. He had two girls on each side of him practically swooning as he talked.
"See you later." Robin waved as they looked at each other and giggled.
Lucinda rolled her eyes at the boy as he smiled and walked toward her, "I see you got yourself new fans."
"Oh yeah, you better start being nice to me mi amor I got girls who would love to be in your place." He smirked smugly to himself.
"I bet they'll back off when I tell them you're still scared of a fictional monster." Lucy teased.
"Hey, El Cucuy is real! And he's scary!"
"Oh," She nodded sarcastically, "oka- hey!" Lucy yelled as someone bumped into her. Finney turned around and gave her a quick apologetic look as he sped-walked away.
"What the-" Robin's question was interrupted by a group of boys following Finney with mean looks. "Hey, I'm gonna go deal with them, just hang out."
"No, I was heading to the bathrooms anyway. " She shrugged as she furrowed her eyebrows at the sight.
They walked in the same direction before they waited for the bullies to enter the bathroom.
"Okay I'm going to go, but I'll catch up with you." Robin entered the boy's bathroom as Lucy went the opposite way to the girl's bathroom.
Lucinda entered a stall and sat on the toilet as she heard a group of girls walk into the bathrooms.
"He is really tough and he's cute!" One voice giggled
"Yeah, but no offense I think he likes me better than you. I mean he did say I was pretty. All he said to you was that you're nice." Another voice spoke
"Yeah I guess Robin and you would be a better couple." Voice one said shyly.
"Of course, we would. I just think Robin would go for a pretty girl like me instead of the girl he always hangs out with." Voice two spoke in a smug way that Lucy already hated but hated even more when she heard them talk about her.
"I think that's his cousin," Lucy cringed at the suggestion, "Or maybe his sister," the cringe turned into a gag.
"Whatever she is she needs to stop clinging to him all the time. He wants to ask me out but it would be weird with her there. He probably wants some time away from her so next time I see them I'll just swoop in and save him."
"You are so nice." Voice one spoke in awe
"I know." Voice two's high-pitched voice made Lucy gag before she opened the stall and walked out.
As the girls saw her they made an attempt to try and hide what they were saying. Lucy rolled her eyes at the girls.
"You guys are talking about Robin Arellano right?" Lucinda's accent started to show in her voice as she spoke.
"Yeah, why?" The brunette that owned voice two smiled fakely.
"That fight was crazy today huh?" The taller girl who owned voice one nodded her head as the owner of voice two continued to wear her fake smile. "It's just hard seeing Robi get like that Y'know being his girlfriend isn't easy. " Lucy smirked as she saw the shorter girl's smile drop.
"Girlfriend?" The shorter brunette asked.
"Yeah," Lucy paused, "Oh you didn't know? Well yeah, Robi doesn't really hide it. He's always calling me his novia." Lucy smiled at her almost lie. He did call her that, but they weren't a couple.
"What does that mean?" the taller girl asked.
"Oh, it just means girlfriend. I just hate seeing him get into fights because of me." She sighed dramatically to add effect.
"That was was because of you?" The shorter girl's jealousy was clear in her voice
"Well I mean he did fight for me, but that's just what it's like being with Robi. You start getting used to it. I do like how tough he is. Well girls I gotta go, Robi gets so clingy sometimes. Bye." As she walked out of the bathroom and down the hall she took a second to realize what she did.
"Why would I say that?" She thought. It was just jealousy and at the moment.
"Why would you say what Lulu?" Robin asked as he slung his arm around her shoulders.
"Oh uh, I told some girls my favorite Reese's Pieces." Lucy lied.
"Why would you say that? Your favorite candy is Ring Pops." Robin rolled his eyes at his friend's forgetfulness.
"So? Wanna hang out later today? We could go to the park or hang out with your tio again."
"Yeah sure. But I can't tomorrow. Finn's coming over to help with some math."
"Why didn't you ask me? I would have helped."
"Because you don't help!" Robin laughed lightly, "We get distracted and end up sneaking off to the cinemas."
Lucy nodded defeated, "Okay so you've got a point. Well, then I guess I'll be home alone. Suffering." She dramatized.
"I think you can handle one day Lulu. Plus it's tomorrow anyway." Robin chuckled as the bell rang, "Okay gotta go. See you after school."
"Bye." Lucy sighed as her chest tightened. She was catching feelings for Robin, fast.
