"Udai, I brought waffles!"

You walked into the manga artist's apartment, now having your own copy of the key. You set down the take-out container in front of the former volleyball player, who was watching it excitedly.

You sat down at the other end of the table, and the two of you dug in, enjoying the sweet waffles, with syrup dripping off of them.

"Man, I haven't had a waffle in... I don't even know?"

You finished your waffle,
"Waffles are very underrated,"

Soon he also finished his breakfast, and after checking up on him to make sure he was okay, you left for work. Up till now, he'd been trying to stifle his feelings for you, even trying to choke it out. But he just couldn't deny the happiness you gave to him, and he could just explode imagining being by your side.

Your day at the school was coming to an end, and as you got into your car, you could hear your phone ringing. You saw that it was your chef friend, so you answered it,
"Hey Samu', everything alright?"

"Yeah, everything's fine, I just needed to ask ya for a favor,"

You buckled your seatbelt,
"Sure, whatcha need?"

"There's been reports that the houses I live near have been broken into, and since I'm gonna be out of town for a few days, I was wonderin' if ya could house-sit for me?"

You wanted to say no, you really did, but you couldn't resist helping a friend.

"Sure!"

"Yer a life saver (f/n),"

You both hung up, and you drove to your friends house.

'I DIDNT ASK HIM WHERE THE KEY WAS'

Instinctively, you looked underneath the welcome mat, and lo and behold, there it was. You opened the door, and as expected, the lights were all off. You locked the door behind you, and settled down on the couch.

'Am I allowed to sleep in his bed?'

Sure it was a nice couch, but did you really want to sleep on it? While you were facing your inner turmoil, you heard a knock on the door. Without thinking, you went to open it, but then you froze.

'THE BURGLAR'

You didn't know what to do. If you spoke, then they'd know you were there, and probably leave. But what if they were out for blood? And if you were silent, they might break in, and that would spell your doom.

While you were trying to figure out what to do, you heard them slamming on the door.

"CMON SAMU' LET ME IN ALREADY!"

You let out a sigh of relief, knowing it was just Atsumu, but something about his voice was... off?
You opened the door, and he immediately rushed to you, engulfing you in a tight hug. You weren't sure what was happening, but you indulged him, hugging him back just as tightly.

You heard him sniffling,
"THEY CHEATED ON ME!"

Goddamnit. You were not prepared for any of this.

"I'm so sorry Atsumu, is there anything I can do to make you feel better?"

He pulled away from you, his eyes red from the tears.

"...yer not Samu'"

You chuckled nervously,
"Hehe, yeah, it's just me, (f/n). Samu's out for a few days, so I'm house-sitting."

"Figures, just when I need him, he isn't here..."

You held his hand and guided him to the couch, where you sat down.

"Well, I may not be him, but hopefully I can help,"

He just sighed, and laid down on the couch, laying his head on your lap. You ran your fingers through his head soothingly, and he started to explain more about his situation.

He had been cheated on, and was at his breaking point.

"I just... can't believe they'd do that to me! Even after everything... Am I just not a good boyfriend?"

You looked at him with concern,
"That's not true! Anyone would be lucky to be with you, it's their loss!"

He wiped his face on your shirt, which became tearstained.

"Thanks (f/n),"

He stretched out his arms and yawned.

"I'm tired,"

He gave you a hopeful look,
"Will ya bring me to my bed?"

Seeing as he'd just been cheated on, and cried right in front of you, you didn't really have a choice. You hoisted him up, and walked to his room, which had a very spacious bed.

You gently laid him down on it, and left to go to the bathroom,
"I'm gonna change,"

You came back in your sleepware, and he was also in his.

"You gonna be okay here?"

He nodded, and you started to walk out,

"Actually..."

You turned around, and his face was red, which you thought was because of the crying.

"Could ya sleep with me? Not like that, but... could ya hold me?"

It seemed like an odd request, but you were tired, and didn't want to sleep on the couch, so you went along with it.

You climbed into the bed, and wrapped your arms around him. He snuggled up against you, letting out a deep sigh.

"Night Atsumu,"

"G'night (f/n),"
