You walked down the sidewalk, groceries in hand, a slight smile displaying on your face from getting a good deal.

That's when you saw it.

A pedestrian, frozen with fear as a car came hurdling towards them.

Your legs moved without you thinking.

You pushed them out of the way, eyes closed, bracing for impact.

But you were safe. The car had stopped millimeters away from your body.

The car didn't hit you, but your memories did.

Everything came back to you. The years of high school and everything after.

Your friends, they had forgotten you. And you just forgave them? Like that?

It seemed as though they also forgot to mention that to you as well.

How could they have forgotten you? After everything you had been through?

You remembered trying to reach out to them, but never getting a reply.

You entered your home, which was oddly dark. When you turned the lights on, everyone who had betrayed you was there.

"Surprise! We decided to throw you a little party!"

You ignored the flying confetti and balloons.

"I remember everything now,"

Korai walked up to you, holding onto your hands,
"Really? That's great! I guess this part had some pretty good timing then, eh?"

You ignored his remark, instead staring at everyone else you had met in high school with a soulless glare.

"Everything,"

He let go of your hands, which dropped to your sides.

"I can't believe you all forgot about me. Like, completely!"

They didn't know what was happening. Haven't they already been forgiven?

"And then I forgave you! That was the worst part. And when I lost my memories, you tried to cover up the whole thing,"

They were at a loss for words.

"Do you know how much it hurt to be forgotten? Like you never existed? I... I need to get away from here,"

You grabbed some of your things and headed for the door, your childhood friend following you.

"(F/n), wait! Where are you going?"

You didn't look back at him, stepping out of the house.

"I... don't know. Just somewhere, anywhere but here,"

You shut the door, which he immediately reopened, only to find that you had disappeared.

He went back to the living room, where everyone was frozen in shock.

"What do we do now?"

You stepped off the bus onto the dirt path, seeing fields of rice surrounding you.

A man wearing boots wand a towel around his neck approached you, a trowel in his hand.
"(F/n)?"
