"Huh?"

You shook his hands welcomed him inside.

"You're the author of my favorite manga! You're even hotter in person too!"

Although he was confused, he still managed to blush at your words. You got him to sit in the living room across from you.

You noticed the perplexed look on his face, and decided to test a theory you had just come up with.

"You knew me, didn't you?"

He blinked.

"Actually, it'd be better to say that you know me. You see, I've recently lost my memory, so,"

Everything seemed to make sense to him at that moment.

"I'll take that as a yes. Now, would you catch me up to speed on the time we've shared?"

"...and then you kept showing up to make sure I was going alright,"

Saying the deeds you had done for him out loud only made him appreciate you even more. At the time you had helped him, the two of you were nothing more than acquaintances, but you stuck by him to make sure he wouldn't burn out again.

"I'm glad I was able to help you, Udai,"

"You can call me Tenma,"

You smiled softly, tugging at his heart strings,
"Hehe, alright then, Tenma. If you don't mind me asking though, what brings you here?"

He scratched the back of his head nervously, a downcast expression on his face,
"I was feeling... down. And I thought that I might feel better if I saw you again? Sorry if that sounded weird, it's just that-"

He felt himself being engulfed in a hug, your arms wrapping around him.

"You don't have to explain yourself. We're friends, and I'll be there for you whenever you need me,"

He hugged you back tightly.

Although your memories had been stolen from you, the actions of the past still seemed to have shaped you all the same.

You pulled yourself away from the hug,
"Sorry if that got a little too mushy, but for some reason it felt like the right thing to say,"

He stood up,
"I think so too. Thanks for having me, I'm gonna get going now, I have a meeting to get to,"

You stood up with him and followed him to the door,
"You want me to drive you there?"

He shook his head,
"I'll be alright,"

You watched him walk away, and couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off... meanwhile, the former volleyball player's heart was beating out his chest. It seemed that the hug from you was a little too much for him, in the good way of course.

The blaring tones of your alarm awoke you from your slumber, making you slam your hand on it to get it to shut up.

You slowly crept out of your bed, making your way to the bathroom, washing your face to get you more awake.

You brushed your teeth, and then made your breakfast before dressing up and heading to school.

"Good morning (f/n)!"

"Morning, £?!%¥,"

Suddenly, you saw everything swirl around, your vision soon settling on a strange yet familiar looking gymnasium.
