Chapter 12 ( questioning Hanna Wallace)

After we were all seated, I put the case file down and the pieces of paper and the two pens down right in front of me and Alex on our side of the metal table.
" So, Hanna, why did you kill your husband Clint?", I yelled at her.
Alex quickly wrote the question down and we waited for a response from Hanna.
Hanna began to speak saying... " ok, yes I did kill my husband because he wanted to sell our ice cream shop because we weren't getting any new customers and not of lot of people in New York eat a lot of ice cream during every season. So I got really mad and I killed him so that he would never sell our shop at all and ruin our business together".
Alex wrote down her response on the piece of paper.
" Oh ok, well, that is not a good thing to kill your husband over getting angry at him for wanting to sell your shop", I exclaimed.
" I also really hated him to", Hanna added to her statement.
Alex wrote that down as well.
" How did the murder happen then?", I asked Hanna.
Alex wrote down my question on the paper.
Hanna began to say... " well after he told me, I got really angry and I started to throw things at him. Then he ran out, he turned left which the fence was there so he turned around and ran down the alley. That is when I cut him with a knife and I then shot him in the chest", Hanna explained to us both and to Officer James standing right behind her.
Alex wrote down her response.
" Well thank you for your confession and you will spend a few more days in the jail cell here in the police station and then you will go to court and then go to prison that is on the island close to the city", I stated. 
Officer James now grabbed Hanna and took her back to the jail cell.
" Wow! Good job Sweetie, you know how much I love you right?", Alex exclaimed.
" Thanks, Honey. I love you so much to Alex". " Let's go copy this paper and then we can close up the case for good until the court hearing I guess", I exclaimed back.
" ok, let's go do that", Alex stated.
We walked out of the room and went directly to my desk. We copied the paper and and I put one of the papers in the case file and I put the other in the basket along with the finger print that was on the ice cream sign. I then put the case file in the white box along with the wallet and the gun.
"I just thought that we don't have the knife that she cut Clint up with", I thought in my head.
" I thought of a lot more things to ask Hanna more Honey", I exclaimed.
" Really?", Alex also exclaimed.
" yeah, I just thought about the knife that she used to cut Clint up with and to tell her about the print on the ice cream shop sign", I stated.
" oh, I forgot about those things too. Let's go talk to her in her cell right now then", Alex added.
A while later we talked to her in the jail cell room and she hid the knife in the shop somewhere in the back room of the ice cream shop and she did not even know that Clint had touched the sign before she killed him. So after talking with her some more, me and Alex sent the clean up crew to find the knife in the ice cream shop and to double check the sign for Clint's print on it too. Another hour past and the clean up crew did found the knife behind a freezer with home made ice cream in it and they also doubled check the print on the sign and it was Clint's print too. I then put the knife in the box and we labeled the box... Wallace case file and I put it in the room with other case file boxes in there. After putting the box away, I grabbed a sticky note and I wrote on it.... remember to send in the knife from the Wallace case file to get it tested. I put the sticky note on my computer screen so that I can remember to do it. Also the police station is moving to the police department of help building next Monday and so these next few days we will be busy getting ready for moving day. Me and Alex were getting very tired and we noticed that it was 12:00 midnight and so we thought we would call it a night. So we grabbed all of our stuff together and we headed out of the police station together. Alex walked me to my car n he kissed me good night and I kissed him back as well. We both got into our own cars and we drove to our homes. I got inside my apartment and I got all ready for bed and I went to bed at 1:00 in the morning.

THURSDAY
The next day came and it was Thursday. Today I need to start helping pack things up for moving day into the police department of help building. So I got up out of bed and I got dressed and all ready for work. I then left my apartment and I drove myself to the police station. Once I got to the police station, I got out of my car and I walked inside the building. I went to my desk and surprisingly! There was a vase with red roses in it on top of my desk. So I quickly walked over to my desk and I noticed there was a card in with the roses and it reads... "I can't wait for our date tomorrow night, love Alex". I was so happy that I carefully moved them in a corner of my desk so that I can stair at them all day long while I work. Then suddenly! Alex comes walking with 2 cups of hot coffee and he puts one down for me on my desk.
Alex began to say... " did you get my message Alice?"
I began to say... " yes I did, thank you so much Honey. I love them! And I can't wait for our date to tomorrow night".
" oh good, me too", Alex exclaimed.
He then kissed me on the forehead and he walked into his office. I pulled out my phone from the small pocket on my backpack and I unlocked it. I then clicked on the reminders app and I typed for Friday... Date tonight with Alex. I then shut my phone off and I placed it down on my desk. I then turned on my computer and I got up from my seat and I walked into the filing room. I then searched the boxes names until I found the Wallace case box that we closed yesterday. I took it down and I carried it back to my desk. I then took out the knife that was in a testing baggie and I placed it carefully on my desk.
I then walked into Alex's office and I began to say to him... " hey, so I have to go to the police department of help to get the knife into the lab to get it tested to see if it is Clint's blood or someone else's blood".
" Oh, ok, do you want me to come with you?", Alex states.
" Sure!", I added.
" ok, let me gather up some things and then we can go", Alex states.
I then walked out of his office and I grabbed my backpack and I pushed in my chair and I turned off my computer. We then walked out of the police station holding hands together and we walked to his car and he opened the passenger door for me and I got in and he closed it behind him. He then got in and he started the car, got his seat belt on and we drove to the other police building that we will be moving into next Monday. Once we got there, Alex parked the car and we walked inside the building together hand in hand. We then went to room #145 to the lab. We walked up to the desk and we rung the bell. " ding, ding", the gold colored bell made the sound, and the doc came walking  from the back room.
" Hello Detective and Captain, how can I assist you today?", the doc stated.
" Hi Doc, can you test this knife to see if this has Clint Wallace's blood on it please and thank you", I stated as I pulled out the test baggie from my backpack.
" yes I can do that for you Detective. Was The woman that you arrested yesterday the killer of Clint?", the doc added.
" Great! Yeah we did arrest her and she did kill Clint which was his wife and she did kill him", I explained to the doc.
" oh no! That is crazy! You should be getting the results from this knife sometime tomorrow probably. I will call you when you get the results back", the doc stated.
" ok that sounds good. We are so excited that we are moving into this building next Monday", I added.
" yeah, I am excited you are all moving to this building, I can't wait to see more of you guys in this building", the doc exclaimed.
" Us too", I exclaimed.
" Well, I think that is all we need to do right now. Just call when the results are in Doc", I stated.
" ok I will Detective Alice", the doc stated.
" have a great rest of your day", I added.
" you too", the doc stated.
We then walked out of the room and out of the building together hand in hand. We got into the car and we drove back to the police station. We parked the car and we got out and we walked inside. We then walked inside the police station holding hands, of course and Alex walked me back to my desk. I then dropped my backpack down and I sat down in my chair and I got to work. I turned on my computer and I took down the tacky note off my computer and I threw it away. I needed to get the facts down from the Wallace case because me and Alex will be the ones who go to court to discuss about the case with the judge and the jury. And the judge will decide if Hanna is guilty or not and will go to jail or not. A while past and I was done working at 5:00 p.m. so I turned off my computer and I grabbed my backpack and I pushed in my office chair. I then walked into Alex's Office to say good bye and good night to him.
I started to say... " knock,knock, I am going to go home now so bye and good night. I will see you tomorrow at work in the morning".
" Bye and good night. See you in the morning then", Alex said with a smile on his face.
He got up and he kissed me good bye for the night. I then walked out of his office and I walked directly out of the building. I got into my car and I drove to my apartment. Once I got home I made a quick dinner and I watched some tv and lights were off by 10:00 p.m.
