Chapter 3 ( the book begins)

Hello, it is me again, Alice. So as you have read from book 1, at the end of the book I found the missing mirror and I completed the case. I also went on my first date with the Captain of the police station too. I have been dating the Captain for about a couple of weeks and I have been working hard on cases at work. I now have a case coming up about a murder! With this case, Alex who is the Captain, will be able to help me with this tough case which will be fun.

A few weeks past and I had another case to solve, this time it was a murder case! So I got up our of bed and I got dressed nd all ready for the day. I then got a text on my phone from Alex.

He states... " Good Morning, Alice. I was wondering if you want me to pick you up for work today? "

I then reply back saying... " Yeah sure, I will meet you in the parking lot then".

I then grabbed my stuff and I headed out the door. I then locked it and walked down the hall way and I walked down the stairs to the parking lot floor. Then stood and waited for Alex to come and get me for about 2 minutes. Then! He came! I got in the passenger side seat and I placed my bags down on the floor and I then closed my door. I then buckled up and Alex drove away. We then drove to the police station. Once we go there, he parked in his parking spot and he turned off the car. We got out and we went inside the building together while holding hands. I then went directly to my desk and Alex went to his office as well. I then sat around for a second while looking at my phone, then Alex walked out of his office and went directly up to me.
" Hey Alice, would you like coffee and a doughnut right now?", Alex stated.
" Sure Alex, I would like that, I will come with you then", I exclaimed with a smile on my face.
I then got out of my seat and we walked into the station's kitchen. Alex grabbed 2 coffee mugs, one had an A on it and the second one had baby farm animals on it. He then poured the hot pot of coffee into the 2 mugs, he left enough space in my mug so that I can pour creamer in my mug. I then grabbed the doughnut box and pulled out 2 chocolate frosted doughnuts and I placed them on a small sized plate. We then walked out of the kitchen and back to my desk. Alex placed the coffee mug down and I placed my plate down and I sat down in my office chair. Alex pulled up another chair and he sat down in it at my desk too. We enjoyed eating our little morning breakfast together and we talked for a bit to. A bit past and Alex took the dishes back to the kitchen so that they could get cleaned to be used again by us or other officers in the station. Alex went back into his office and suddenly! His office phone was ringing.
He picked it up and started to say... " Hello, this is Captain Whitman speaking at the police station, how can I help you?"
" Hi, I am calling because there is a murder at Ice cream world, which is the little Ice cream shop in New York near the Statue of Liberty", a woman stated.
" Oh dear! I am so sorry to hear that, I will get my best detective on it and I will also help as well on this important case miss", Alex exclaimed.
" Oh, thank you so much Captain, come as soon as you can, please sir", the lady cried out.
" You are welcome, we will be on our way soon", Alex stated.
" ok thank you, good bye!"
" Good bye ma'am", Alex exclaimed.
Alex then hung up the phone and grabbed a sticky note from on top of his desk and he wrote down the phone number for Me to call and get some information and stuff like that. Then he walked out and handed me the sticky note with the phone number on it so that I can call it in a bit. The first thing I need to do is to get the paper work started such as printing a document to interview witnesses and the woman who called the Captain and a lot more too. A while past and I got all of the paper work out together and I placed it in a file holder. Then I placed the file nearly on my desk. Then I grabbed the sticky note and I dialed the phone number on my office desk phone.

The phone started to make a humming noise and then suddenly! The woman answered saying... " Hello? "

" Hi this is Detective Alice calling about a murder at the Ice cream world shop".

" Oh ok", as the woman said worrying.

" Can you explain what happened to me? "

" Yeah, I can tell you", the woman exclaimed sobbing.

" So I went into work at 8:00 this morning to get the shop opened when I needed to take the trash out first. So I took the trash out of the can and I put in a new trash bag in. I walked out of the ship's back door and I dropped the bag of trash and I screamed. I saw a man dead by the wall with a few knife marks and a fun shot wound to his chest! I then immediately called 991 which directed me to Captain Alex I believe and I talked with him for a minute and then you called me".

" Ok miss this is good information, I am writing this for this case to if that is ok? "

" Yeah it is fine".

" Ok good. So what is the address for the Ice cream shop miss? "

" Oh it is 2005 Statue park , it is right below the statue of liberty too".

" Ok thank you. Let me also write down your phone number miss to. Also what is your name? "

" Oh my name is Hanna Brown".

" Oh, what a lovely name Hanna! So now that I got enough information right now, I will get some food to go down there to pick up the dead body for you and get some more information as well".

" Ok, sounds good, thanks for calling me Detective! "

" You are welcome, Hanna. See you in a bit then".

" Ok, bye, Hanna Stated.

" bye! "

We then hung up the phone. Then grabbed the file and I got up from my chair and I walked into Alex's office.

" So I got some more information from the woman on the phone that works at the Ice Cream World shop. The woman's name is Hanna Brown and she told me how she found the body and she called you and talked with you and then I called her. I also told her I would get food to go with me and you to get rid of the dead body and get some more information too", I stated.

Alex then began to say... " ok sounds good Alice. I will get some cops together and then we can go".

" Ok sounds good Alex ".

A bit past and Alex had gotten a group together him,me, a few cops and the crime clean up crew and we were all ready to go. I then put the file in my bag and and I was ready to go. We then got into police cars and we drove to the statue of liberty.
