Fuck, shitting fuck. Next week was going to be hell then. What the fuck were you going to do about it?

———
-6 months earlier-

"Y/n, come down and help me out!"

The shouting made you quickly wake up, stretching your body and letting out a huge yawn. "I will not scream again, come down!!"
You heard again and just sighed deeply as you stood up, looking at yourself in the mirror and fixing your hair, it was a mess. "I'll be right down dad!" You shout out of the door before you close it again to get changed.

You just throw on a singlet and some sweatpants, knowing that you were going to change later anyway, you really just needed to get down to your father as quickly as possible.

So you almost ran down the stairs, but slowed down when you reached the bottom so he wouldn't see you running. As you walked into the kitchen you saw your father sitting at the table. "God morning dad", you smiled a little as you sat down at the table. Your father was looking through his glasses and reading the newspaper, slowly looking up at you. "Yeah good morning" he looked you up and down before he sighed, going back to his newspaper. "What are you wearing?" He asked, you could tell by the voice that he was definitely not happy with your outfit.

"It's just a singlet and sweatpants dad, I'm going to change before I leave the house." You say before you start eating some cereal that was standing on the table. "Good. You don't want people to think you're a whore or something."

"Dad!?" You looked up at him, realising you definitely answered too loudly. And you did. He quickly looked up and placed the newspaper on the table, leaning forward on his arms over the table. "I am simply telling you the truth. I don't want my daughter walking around like some hooker."

"I-I.. I'm sorry dad." Leaning backwards against the chair, you push yourself up to stand. "I'll go change and then I'll go to school" you said with a shy smile, some tears forming in your eyes, everything was starting to become blurry. Before you walked up the stairs, you stopped right next to the third chair by the table. Staring at it before your eyes move up to your dad. "Where's mom?"

He stood up, not saying a word as he walked towards you, making you take a step back. "Y/n. You know that you are not supposed to ask about her. She is not here, not now. She is out there somewhere. You know this. Don't be stupid, and don't ask again!" He said, pointing at you as he said the last part. This pushed you over the edge, making tears roll down your cheeks, but you were quick to dry them with your hand.

"Stop crying. Your life isn't hard. You have parents, a home, so stop being such a coward." You didn't dare to speak back, you knew the consequences. He had told you all of this plenty of times, but you couldn't stop asking about your mom. She was gone and you knew that she was out there somewhere, taking her drugs and not caring about her family for a second.

You ran up the stairs, closing your bedroom door behind you and sitting down on the bed. Your hand go to your face as you gently start sobbing, trying to hold it in.

—Today—

"Hey y/n, are you alright?" You hear a voice coming from your right and you look over at him, it was Eddie. Right. You were still in the canteen. "You really zoned out after you spoke about how you know them." You look at the other guys and smile gently, but you could feel the tears forming in your eyes. Everything you had fought for, trying to forgot about your idiot dad, your drug addict mom. All the horrible people around you. It might all come back with the Byers. They weren't bad, not at all, but the fact that they knew everything was horrible. They could start spreading the news around this school.

"Yeah sorry I-I.. I'm sorry I have to go. See you later." You quickly grabbed your backpack and stood up, almost running out of the canteen and not looking behind you. You didn't know where to go, so the bathroom it was. Locking yourself into a stall, your breathing started speeding up and tears rolled down your face, ruining the makeup you had on. You looked up, seeing all the writing on the door and wall, trying to think of something else you simply started reading all of it. It was mostly just signatures, but also some horrible crap. And you noticed this one line..

"Eddie the fucking freak Munson." You gently place your finger over the writing and just feel it, letting out a sigh. But you also realised that maybe Eddie wasn't so different from yourself. You were also a freak in a way, you were the outcast at your old school. Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to judge.. you decided on really giving the guy a chance.

As you stared at the door, just calming down and getting ready to walk to class, you suddenly heard the door open. You pulled yourself together, not wanting people to still hear you gently subbing.

"Y/n? Are you here?"

Eddie. It was Eddies voice from just outside the door, you hesitated with answering, but you knew that you should answer. After all, he'd walked into the ladies bathroom to find you. "Y-yeah I'm here." You answer him with a shaky voice, wanting to sound all normal. "I'm alright by the way.. I just.. ate some bad food." You try to fake a giggle, you fail in the worst way possible.

The footsteps came closer, and you could see the shadow of his feet through the bottom of the door. "Not to be rude. But I don't believe you. And I didn't sneak into the ladies toilet for a lie." He laughs gently and tries to open the door, failing since you had locked it. "Can you please let me in?" The softest and most sweet voice says, and you immediately opened the door, without even thinking. Gently pushing the door open and standing up. "Hi Eddie, you shouldn't be in here though." You say as you walk past him, over to the sink, cleaning your hands and looking at yourself. The mascara was everywhere. "Shit" you whisper and start cleaning up your face, trying to quickly get it away before Eddie notices.

You could see him in the mirror, leaning against the wall and crossing his arms as he just watched you. "Want to tell me something?" He asked and you simply shake your head. "I don't want to push you, but seeing you hurt is something I don't like, and I don't even know you." He chuckles and walks up behind you, looking at your eyes in the mirror. "It's fine Eddie, don't worry about me. Thanks tho. I just remembered something from California and I needed some space."

Eddie stands next to you, grabbing some papers, making it slightly wet before he cups your cheek. You slowly take your arms down and turn your body towards him, tilting you head slightly upwards as he start to gently clean off your face. And naturally you started blushing at this, also feeling butterflies grow in your stomach.

"You don't need to say more; but know that you can speak to me." He says before he pokes his tongue out, just like earlier, he rests it on his upper lip. This makes you smile, looking down at his lips and giggling a little bit.

"What?" Eddie asks, stopping with cleaning your face.

"The tongue thing that you do, it's.. a liiiiittle adorable." You chuckle at him and blush slightly, taking a step back since he's done with cleaning your face up.

Eddie blushes deeply, but doesn't break eye contact with you. "Just a little? Oh.. I think it's very cute."
