Hold my hand

It felt like Eddie already knew you, the way he knew it could be too much for you. Too many people and to much noise. He really did seem like a great guy, one of the sweetest boys you'd ever met.

———

Eventually you arrived at star court mall, getting ready for the movie. Eddie jumped out of the van and ran over to your side as quickly as he could, but he ran in this funny and strange way making you laugh when he opened the door.

"My lady!" He said and stepped to the side, taking his arm out and bowing slightly, showing that you were supposed do exit the van. "Well, aren't you a true gentleman?" You say in this posh English accent as you jump out of the van and stand up straight, grabbing your bag from inside the van before he closed the door after you. He locked it and started walking towards the mall, seeing some people also walking towards it but there wasn't a lot of people, and you didn't spot any of your friends either.

As you entered the mall and walk to the cinema, you stopped for a second and looked around, fiddling a little bit with your fingers. Eddie noticed this almost immediately and stopped, turning around since he had walked past you, walking over with a tilted head. "Hey, are you alright?"

"Yeah yeah. Just a lot of people and.. well.. haven't been to a cinema in ages." You answer as you start walking again, not really interested in telling the story about you and your ex.

——

Because there was something there, and there was a huge reason why you hadn't been to a cinema in such a long time. In a way you were happy to be back with someone you at least felt a little bit safe with, but you were also kind of scared. Even though you knew that he wasn't there. It was just you, Eddie and his friends, maybe they would become your friends eventually? Hopefully.. maybe?..

Your ex was horrible, and every time you went to the movies together he always had to make you embarrassed or bringing some of his friends to laugh at you. So now you were back, terrified of the people again. You remembered the look of everyone in the cinema, everyone was looking at you. And that's something you really didn't want to happen again.

You wanted to be safe and actually for once enjoy your time in the movies with Eddie and his friends.

——

"Do you want something to eat or drink, I'll buy it!" Eddie said as you walked over to the little shop where you could buy some snacks, and you walked around, trying to see if there was anything you wanted.

All you knew was that you really didn't want something that made too much noise. You HATED when people ate loudly at the movies. Why don't they respect the movie and others? Sitting there, eating their crisps, chewing with their mouths open and drinking their soda like there's no tomorrow.

So you were not going to be one of them. So you grabbed a Dr Pepper and that was it, not really wanting anything else. "This is all I'm having." You walk over to Eddie and smile "I can buy it myself, thank you tho." But he didn't let you, he quickly took the soda out of your hands and ran away in basically slow motion.

"Hey! I said I'm buying it Eds!"

"No, it's on me" Eddie laughed and walked over  to the cashier and payed for everything before you could even manage to walk over to it. You sigh deeply, just to be obvious about it. "It's only a soda, pumpkin. Don't worry about it."

"W-What did you say Eds..?" You ask at the nickname you heard, or thought you heard at least.
"O-Oh. Nothing. Here you go.. ticket and soda." He handed it all to you and you thanked him, smiling at him, cheeks being all red. But his wasn't much better. Both of you were blushing like some idiots, and the girl behind the counter definitely noticed, giving you both this judgmental look.

You decided on sitting in the couches that were outside of the theatre, waiting for the others to show up. And after a while they finally did. Not that it wasn't great sitting alone with Eddie, chatting about everything and nothing at the same time. But mostly about his singing and guitar playing, and you playing drums.

—Time skip—

After saying hi to pretty much everyone, you realised that you had already met all of them except from Max. So you introduced yourself to her, and she gave you this weak smile before she just walked past all of you with the skateboard in her hand, making you very confused.

"That's how she is. She'll grow on you." Steve said with a huge smile, Robin standing right next to him while the others were just chatting about the movie and they were obviously quite hyped about it.

You were going to see Top Gun, which you didn't really think sounded fun, but the focus now was to get to know other people and have a great time with them. Create this sort of bond..?

So you all walked into the cinema and sat down in your seats which were great, and surprisingly there wasn't too many people here. Which meant.. not so much eating noise which was fucking amazing.

You sat on the end of the row with Eddie next to you, so you had to look a bit to the side to look at the screen but you didn't mind at all, sitting next to Eddie wasn't something you were going to complain about.

"Don't worry darling, if it gets too scary, you can hold my hand,"
You suddenly hear from Eddie, making you laugh as you look over at him, he just laughed back. But in a way you knew that he wasn't really joking at this was a terrible attempt at flirting.

"I have a feeling you're the one who needs a hand to hold if it gets too scary... and Eddie, it's not even horror." You smirk at him before you turn your head back to the screen, trying not to smirk too much so it was obvious.

The movie started and you watched it, really enjoying it actually. It wasn't.. too bad. Your hands were resting in your lap, fiddling a little with your rings. And suddenly you felt something on your forearm, making you slowly look down, not really sure what it was.

It was Eddies hand, his fingers gently moving up and down your forearm, sometimes his rings touched your skin, sending shivers down your spine. You smiled a bit to yourself, letting it happen because you didn't feel uncomfortable, it felt.. nice in a way. You didn't want to look over at Eddie, but you did for a small second, but his eyes were completely stuck to the movie, so you looked back and smirked.

It did feel nice, and safe. It made this whole experience a little bit better.
