(ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ ♥ Five: Operation Jeddie ♥

Dustin and Max rode on their bikes while Lilo sat on the back of Dustin's bike. They were going to Family Video. They needed help from the others. When they arrived, they just threw their bikes on the ground and left them there. Lilo was the first who ran inside, and soon Dustin and Max came up behind her. Robin and Steve looked at them as if they were crazy, wondering what happened.

"You guys see this?" Steve said.

He pointed at the TV where the news about the murder was displayed. Max and Dustin went over to the counter while Lilo just stood there, staring at the TV. Jovie had already gotten a bad reputation considering her juvenile history, and people thought she was a troublemaker. Now they're gonna think she's a murderer. 

"How many phones do you have?" Dustin asked.

"Someone was murdered." Steve said.

"As if we don't know that yet." Lilo said.

Dustin repeated himself.

"How many phones do you have?"

"Two, why?" Steve asked.

"Technically, three, if you count Keith's in the back."

Lilo was confused. Why did they need phones? What even was Max's and Dustin's plan? Dustin and Max nodded at each other, and then Dustin threw his bag over the counter and slid across it, making everything fall down on the floor. Steve and Robin were both yelling at him, telling him to stop. Lilo slid over the counter after him, which made Steve even more annoyed. Dustin sat down at the computer and started searching for whatever he was looking for. Lilo guessed it was the numbers of Eddie's friends, but she was never sure of what Dustin was doing.

"What are you doing, man?" Steve said.

"Setting up a base of operations." Dustin said.

"Base of operations?" Steve said, clearly confused.

Steve tried to get Dustin off the computer, but Dustin ignored him and kept on going. They started arguing while Lilo picked up the phones, getting ready to call some weirdos. Robin started whining about it being Saturday, the busiest day of the week, and how they couldn't play around on a Saturday. Eventually, Dustin had enough and turned to Max and Lilo, asking them to fill them in on what was going on. They both started explaining the situation to Steve and Robin, who were shocked by the news.

"Jovie is with Eddie the Freak?" Steve said.

"What's wrong, Steve?" Lilo said. "Jealous of Eddie now?"

Steve rolled his eyes at Lilo, who kept going on about how he was jealous of Jovie and Eddie while Dustin wrote down all the numbers on a paper. Dustin, Robin, and Max picked up a phone each while Lilo went after Steve as he worked, still teasing him about Jovie. He looked at Robin and begged her to help him, but she just found it amusing and smiled at him. Max then spoke up, and they all turned to her.

"Hey guys." Max said. "I might have a lead."

"Apparently, Eddie gets his drugs from some guy named Reefer Rick." Max continued. "And sometimes Eddie crashes there."

Lilo felt hopeful again and forgot that she was supposed to tease Steve. Instead, she just walked over to Max.

"Where does this Reefer Rick guy live?" She asked.

"See.." Max said. "That's the thing. No one really knows. He's more of a.. a legend than someone people actually know."

They asked her about his surname but had no luck. It seemed like there was no way of finding this Reefer Rick guy.

"I mean, listen." Steve said. "If this Reefer Rick is actually a drug dealer, I guarantee you he's been busted at some point, which means he's in the system."
