5- Namek

It didn't even take long for you and Vegeta to reach Namek. The awkward silence on the way here made it feel a lot longer. You and Vegeta exited the pods and jumped out from the crater. "It's time, to finally remove the obstacle in my way Once the dragon balls are in my possession, the power of eternal life will be mine and nobody will be able to stop me Not even the 'Mighty Frieza', hmm, I'm already picking up his power now." Vegeta adjusted his scouter. "So he's near." His scouter beeped, he looked at you for a split moment and at your armour. "Tsk, you haven't changed one bit." He looked away. "Could say the same thing about you." You crossed your arms and looked off into the distance. Vegeta took you towards the direction of where Frieza's energy was detected. Cui suddenly jumped behind you both, and Vegeta didn't seem surprised at all, you on the other hand jumped. "So you've been following us have you Cui? Well I have a message you can take to Frieza. His days are numbered, as or yours." There goes Vegeta again with his sociopathic speeches. The pair argued like kids and you sat out of it. You knew Cui was one to stir up Vegeta. The back and fourth led to Vegeta unmasking his power and showing Cui up, Cui immediately regretted it, he attempted to reason with him however Vegeta thought him to be coward. Didn't take long for Vegeta to finish him off by just making him combust. You cringed at the sight however you shook your head and Vegeta went to your level.

"They know I'm here now. There's no way they didn't pick me up." Vegeta scoffed and crossed his arms looking off a cliff beside you. "What do you think will happen?"

"Frieza won't look for me yet. You're safe for now." He looked down at you. "I hope so." The two of you took off in the air to look for at least one dragon ball.

After a while of searching Vegeta halts and puts a hand in front of your chest to stop you from going any further. "It's Dodoria. He's in there." Vegeta looked at the water. You both dropped to the ground and you took a stance.

"You- Vegeta..." Dodoria crawls out of the water. "Been a long time Dodoria. How are you?" Listening to Vegeta's sarcastic take on pretending to care was comedy on your end. "I should have know two people who shoot people in the back was always your style." Dodoria referred to you both. "Careful now. Frieza and Zarbon aren't here to back you up. I'd watch what I said, if I were you... Then again, it doesn't matter. I'm still going to kill you either way." Vegeta trailed off belittling Dodoria. "You- You Saiyan trash! It's about time I taught you and your girlfriend some respect." He gave you a dirty look. You frowned at his comment and Vegeta grunted.

"I'm gonna give you one chance to get out of here. Here's the deal. If you hand over your scouter and Y/N and agree to leave this planet right now, I might be willing to overlook your foolish arrogance this time." Dodoria clenched his fist. "I see, so you have lost your scouters. How terrible! How are you and Zarbon going to find Frieza's backside to stick your noses in it!" Vegeta laughed hysterically. "Priceless. No wonder I was able to sneak up on you so easily." He continued.

"Why you little-"

"Save it." Vegeta interrupted. "You can take your little prize to Frieza. Far be it for me to stand in his way. Here it's yours." He offered his scouter by dropping it to the ground.

"I'm surprised Vegeta. I was almost certain I would have to pry that scouter from your lifeless fingers. And I have to tell you the truth, I'm a little more than disappointed it wont come to that but, oh well. We had a deal." As soon as Dodoria was to grab it, Vegeta and you crushed your scouters. "Wha- What are you doing?! Are you insane?! Fools! Those were the last scouters on the planet!"

"It was. But they're gone. We have the advantage."

"What are you talking about? You'll be more lost than I will! You'll never find Frieza or the Nameks!"

Vegeta laughed "But you're wrong. You see, I have discovered it's possible to sense power levels without a scouter. It's one of my many things I've learnt on my time on Earth." Vegeta glanced at you with a smirk. "I can hardly believe it myself. But then I was forced to rethink my notions of impossibility... It was an enlightening experience to say the least.  After that it was only a matter of time I could duplicate the technique myself. Now I can feel the energy in the air easily as the breeze across my face. Which means I've outgrown these silly toys." Vegeta glanced at the shattered scouters.

"I get it. Those little brats I chased out here were earthlings!" Dodoria shouted as he connected the dots. Your eyes widened, 'My- my friends! It must be them! I must find them as soon as possible! It's not safe for them to be here.'

"What?!" Vegeta squinted in anger. "You're working with them to lure me away from Frieza!" Only if Dodoria was right maybe this mission would be a lot easier. "Ha! Don't be such an idiot. There's no way those earth scum could have gotten here so quickly. And even if there was, I doubt they'd be in a hurry to cross my path again." Vegeta gave you a dark and threatening look as if to say you couldn't see them. "You are lying! But guess what? I killed your little friends Vegeta. You stay, and I'll do the same thing to you." Your eyes widened in disgust. You felt like you were going too throw up. You didn't even process words. You just felt nauseous. Vegeta noticed, "They aren't dead. Trust me." He whispered so only you could hear. You still felt shaky.

"Final warning! Go now, or feel my wrath!"

"No." Vegeta placed his hands on his waist. "I think we'll stay. So go ahead, attack me. Why Dodoria, if I didn't know better I'd think you were scared or something. Let me guess, you were monitoring my fight with Cui earlier. You've seen my power." Vegeta taunted. "Y/N, take cover somewhere." He scoffed your way. You swiftly made an exit to avoid being near Frieza's main men. You didn't want any chance of being taken, Frieza wants you. But you aren't sure why. From flying away you could hear Dodoria's screams. Vegeta was obviously winning. You sighed and found something like a cave near a cliff and decided to camp out in it, you double checked and it didn't seem like anyone or anything lived here. So you settled and slouched with your knees in your head. "Why am I so scared? Why can't I even fight?! I'm such a defect..." You looked at your hands just to tense and scrunch them. "I know how to I just can't do it. My body just- freezes..." You look out the cave into the distance. "I can't do anything..." Throwing your head back you sighed and wiped a few small tears. "I need to find them. My friends..." Knowing you'd be leaving Vegeta. You had to find them. They couldn't do it on their own and you need some support. You just felt like a asset for Vegeta, it was only a matter of time he'd get bored and throw you away. You've seen it happen time and time again.

'I'll settle for a bit. I need to clear my head...'
