Happiness
In search of happiness I,
Started this journey with a goodbye
Because from Earth to every other cone,
It was always happiness who won.Barefoot, I touched the ground,
Hearing every human's sound
I couldn't stop moving ahead,
Else I would've been dead.I chose the sphere as the way,
It is what mother used to say
The wise road that you choose,
Will never let you go loose. So I set off with a bag,
And with a smiley flag
Destinations marked on a map,
Towards a perfect wrap.On my way to the heaven,
I met Guru, the seven
Happiness doesn't last he said,
Oh that is how it's portrayed.A journey so long,
Can never go wrong
The place where peace resides,
Is not where the Guru decides.Barefoot, I touched the ground,
Witnessing pale hands browned
Oh what a fate they carry,
Happiness and they couldn't marry.I moved forward to paradise,
To witness happiness with my own eyes
To bring some back with my own hands,
To the Earth that make our lands. Finally I reached the gate,
After oh such a long wait
Looking around the vacant utopia,
I found an old man suffering pneumonia.I rushed another mile,
Towards this man holding a file
Can I see happiness please?
But I only heard the breeze.Guru, the seven emerged,
He and the sick man merged
Barefoot, I touched the ground,
Oh do you think I was clowned?- Disha Chakraborty
