•°Returned°•
Danced all the way
To the fair
Attractive miniatures.
As if it's heaven and I'm God,
Underneath my feet, below the sod
Worship me with the things I love.Mother said, oh son, be patient
And all will be yours.Happy child returned.
Walked all the way
To the fair
Alluring Scottish fare.
As if it is all I know, all I love.
No money to buy, I can only look
And smile.Mother said, oh son, grow up soon
And all will be yours.Growing boy returned.
Dragged all the way
To the fair
We can't even afford the fare.
They'll never be mine,
I'm not a child
I don't want to look or
Listen to empty promises.Patient, I was
All throughout my life
Neither got toys nor food.
Why did mother lie?Mother said, oh son, you are not a child
Forget these.Matured man returned.
