about a week after the whole ashtray thing, vada had got some pretty destructible news.
her father had died.
vada never really knew her father, partially because her mom thought it was a bad idea, and the other part, well, he was an addict.
vada has seen him a decent amount of times (court orders) when he got his shit together, but he always fell back into the wrong path.
sure he has overdosed once or twice, all addicts do, but he really outdid himself this time.
only family knew about the passing, so, no one was really there for vada. her mother continued working, and rue didn't want to be involved because she was trying to get over her own fathers death still.
really the only person who really checked up on her was her aunt leslie. vadas sure the only reason she's checking up on vada is to get away from her own kids, but she might be all up in her head.
so you'd automatically assume that she hasn't been on anything. vadas going through a rough patch, not posting, not snapping, not texting. honestly, you might think she was dead.
but you have your own opinions.
rue
"yo where the fuck have you been?" ashtray asks while leaning forwards on the counter. he's just tryin to get information about vada, and quite frankly, i don't give a shit.
"avoiding this damn conversation is where i been." i said going to the back.
ashtray runs from behind the counter and follows me. "what's wrong with vada rue?" he whined.
this bitch is acting like a lost puppy.
"i don't know."
"you do."
"nope."
"please."
"no."
"please!"
ughhh. "vada is going through death right now." i whisper-shouted. "vadas DEAD?" he has a blank stare on his face.
"don't be stupid ashtray. use your brain. her dads dead." i said bluntly. i cant take no more of this dead dad talk.
i can barely talk about mine, what makes people think i can talk about hers.
