Chapter 8 - Anguish and Helplessness

Irina's Pov:

"W-william?"

As soon as I said that, he looked at me with pain in his eyes. Then the man standing on his side, hit his head with a rod and he screamed and fell to the ground. They Picked him up again and kept him up by pulling his hair.

"Irina-san? He was the one who helped you, right?"

Huh? Is he like this because of me?

Then I remembered him saying...
"...I can't do much or I'll get killed, but I'll try to help you as much as possible!"

"N-no! No, he didn't!..... h-he didn't h-help me...."

"Ohh? Is it so? Then who treated your wounds and bandaged you?" He looked at me suspiciously.
I could not lie, I was stuck, What do I say now?

He slapped me across the face and yelled, "Who bandaged you then?"

"I-I did... I will-- n-not let you... do what you want t-to her...No way!"

Willian said still laying on the floor, not moving, but glaring at the person talking to me.

"See? Wasn't so hard, right? Leo helped you!! Now he gets punished for hiding things!"

They dragged him and made him kneel in front of me, Pulled his hair and put a knife against his throat. He was bleeding from his head, his face was horribly bruised, his shirt was in shreds, and his body was badly beaten up. His hands were tied at the back, so he couldn't do anything.

"Leo, You were so trustworthy, I can't believe we have to do this..."

"N-no! No Please! Don't do this! He won't do it again! Please! You don't need to kill him! P-please!" I cried and said desperately, trying to get off of the people holding me. They slapped me and told me to shut up.

No...he's like this because of me...he's going to get killed because of me... no... I don't want this...Please someone!!

I looked around desperately, for someone to stop it, but no one came.

"Now! Now... We don't have much time! Do it!"

"NO! Wait, please wait!"

"I-Iri-na mam..."

"No! William, don't worry! Nothing will happen! I'll convince them! okay?"

"Is that so? how will you? I'd like to see you try!"

"Y-you wanted to hit me, right? Do it! Do whatever you want! don't kill him! Please!"
He raised an eyebrow, and smirked...

Oh no! What did I just say?

"Really? Okay then! I'll take you on that deal! We'll not sell you anymore and keep you for us! Is that ok? Irina-san?
Rick said coming into the room and everyone bowed to him. His expression suddenly changed into an unreadable one as he stood there silently.

"Kill him."

The man put the knife against his throat again and started pressing it.

"I-I am sorry Irina mam... I c-couldn't p-protect you..."
William sadly smiled and said....

And with that, the knife was slid across his throat. He was thrown on the floor across the room and laid there lifeless, in his own pool of blood.

"NOOO!!" I screamed. They killed him.

"n-no..." I kept crying as they blindfolded me, saying, " You should not see all this, Irina-san."

They dragged me back to my room and threw me on the floor. As they were not holding me anymore, I got up and picked up the glass cup and removed my blindfold. I threw it on one of the man and screamed, "You murderer!"

The glass hit his face and he started to bleed as the glass shattered on the floor. He touched his head and then looked at his hand seeing blood on it. He looked at me and smirked. He started coming closer to me.
"Close the door."
He said and the other man laughed at it. They all began closing in and I was cornered. I got scared and started trembling and crying at the situation I was in...

Timeskip (A Few Days Later):

Karasuma's Pov:

We are already running late on schedule. It's already been two weeks now since Irina was taken...

It started on the day we were going to the terrorist base, many of our soldiers were killed, It came known that there was a spy hiding in the soldiers. It took a lot of toll on the force. Now, finally after two weeks we are ready to go the the Terrorist base. I was heading to the van as I prayed for Irina to be ok.

As we reached there, We immediately raided the Area and killed many terrorist guards on the way, as we reached inside and found a lot of victims and hostages. Our forces captured the head of the organization named Rick. We were trying to get every hostage to a safe place and help them escape, but in all this chaos I was only looking for Irina.

I searched all the corridors and in every room I passed through, everyone was shouting for me to let them out. I helped everyone out and came to a certain room where no one was shouting.

I broke open the door only for me to see her in that room.

"I-Irina...."
I quietly said as I was in a shock, not able to believe in what I saw.

They she was laying unconscious on the bed, fully naked with wrists and ankles chained to the bed. Her whole body was covered in Bruised and painful looking wounds, bite marks and hickies covered her skin. Her lips were bruised, so was her whole face.

"N-no! Irina!"

I immediately ran to her opening her chains and quickly wrapping her in a blanket kept there. She looked so skinny and weak.
I hugged her tightly and she winced, but did not wake up. I promptly looked down at her and caressed her cheek softly as her face had a painful expression. I rubbed her cheek with my thumb as a wave of guilt washed over me.
I hugged her again, this time being careful of her wounds. I pressed her face into my chest and held her protectively, before whispering,

"S-Sorry... I am sorry...."

So! Karasuma finally found Irina and don't worry now, nothing bad will happen to her....unless the story requires it😶
