Karasuma's Pov:
"Come downstairs for breakfast after you're done, okay?" I asked Irina.
She was sitting on the bed and tying her hair up to get ready for the day.
"A-Alright...I'll come after I take a bath though..."
She said hesitantly looking at me, getting up from the bed and smoothing out the crease on the sheets, as there was nothing more to do to the bedsheets and blankets because we already folded them.
I chuckled at her behavior to which she only looked at me confused.
"hmm...take your time..."
I said before closing the door behind me and walking downstairs.
I decided to make some Avocado toast and scrambled eggs for breakfast as Rhea and Aron were not here yet.
I was just spreading the mashed avocado and seasoning it when my phone rang, it was kept on the dining table. I finished seasoning the toast and cleaned my hands and wiped them with a kitchen towel, before going to the dining table and and looking at the caller ID, it was an unknown number. I picked up the call thinking who it must be,
"...Hello?..."
"Hello! Sorry to disturb... is it Mr. Karasuma?"
"Yes? Who is speaking?"
"Thank god...Karasuma-sensei!, Good morning, I am Kayano..."
"Ohh...Kayano...How are you?.." I smiled and thought what she could've called me for.
"I am fine sensei, how are you?....and Irina-sensei?..."
Her voice became a whisper at the end of the question and I knew what she was talking about.
"....so....you know?...."
My smile faltered, remembering everything, because forgetting it is close to impossible.
"no...I don't know anything...but I know something bad had happened..."
"....."
"Sensei! we want to meet you both...we will come up prepared...please!!"
"we?..."
"Yes! Kanzaki and Sugino as well...please sensei..."
"....umm..."
I was reluctant, I didn't know what to answer. It would be nice seeing them after all these years, but Irina...it would be good for her also, to meet them. Yes, it would be good, but I don't want to go through what I went through with Kurahashi again. I will not be able to see them hurt. I was in so much doubt, but then what Kayano said made my doubts dissappear,
"Sensei? you both are our mentors...you were there with us when we needed you...now, we want to be there for both of you...now when you need us...please..."
I smiled hearing that, now understanding that these kids that we used to teach are now really grown up. Well...they already were when they went through that seven years ago, but...they're really grown, huh?
"Sensei?"
"..hmm..alright...you guys can come..."
I chuckled and said because I know, what they are doing is because of their care and concern.
"Really Sensei?...It today alright then?....or should we come some other day?"
She asked, delightfulness clear in her voice.
"Today...is okay...it will be great if you come in evening and have dinner with us though...."
"Of course, we will be very happy!"
"Sure!...well...how did you get my number?"
"ohh..Hinano gave me your number...I thought it'll be good if I ask you whether you're free or not...then we'll come according to your time..."
