Abhinav's pov:
"And that's how this project will be a win-win situation for both of us. We'll be able to to bring this project to reality and you guys will get loads of opportunities to groove." Project head of this 'White Plant', Raghav, explained the civil officers and the important people of this town.
The sound of claps echoed the room as soon as the presentation ended showing the last slide. After signing few papers and deciding to negotiate over a few, I finally got up, signalling that the meeting is over.
"Arrange for my stay somewhere and inform the officials that I can't stay here for so long. I need to get this contract signed within a day or two." I ordered Amish, my PA.
Right now, I'm at Vindai - a small town in the west India. This place has no hotels or guest houses, of course no one would spend on building something that's of no use to anyone. I have a big project called 'White Plant' coming up that'll be one of the best ones I built. It's a dairy firm manufacturing all types of dairy products from milk packaging to ice creams. Literally everything. With over crores of investment and proper management, this will be a leading dairy brand within just a couple of years.
Vindai, this town has perfect place, perfect surroundings, perfect atmosphere and most importantly amazing resources for starting this firm. Initially, I thought that the name I have earned in the business world would come to the most use here. Since people know me all over India, I assumed the same with these people too. But, the literacy rate here is so low and most importantly, people are very much ignorant of the business news here that when I sent my officials with the proposal here, the residents literally, kicked them out of the town assuming them as some goons. So, I had to come here myself for this. And, here I am, stuck at an unknown place with no hotels to stay.
Being a businessman isn't always a beautiful feeling with all the fame and money. Very few understand the thorns that pierce through our skin in the process. Continuous hours of non-stop working, back to back meetings to take a single decision, managing hundreds and hundreds of employees, making sure that they get a comfortable atmosphere to work and many more things that drain us out completely. Still, most of the people only see only see our money and our luxurious lifestyle and not the sacrifices we put behind to get that. When I first arrived here, I literally had to bring some senior government officers with me to prove them who I was.
"Sir." I looked over to Amish hoping for a great news.
"I'm sorry Sir. I couldn't find a hotel or something anywhere around 30 sq.km. But, yeah! I had a talk with a man nearby . He says that he has his old home . If you want you can stay there. He can to arrange to clean that and also some food in exchange of some money."
"Oh. Honestly, I don't want to but, no other option. Just do one thing. Pay that man and make sure that you and Raghav need not to go anywhere. You can manage there too. It's just a matter of a day or two. I don't want you to wonder around for a place." Although, I know I'm known as cold hearted boss, but I still care for my employees.
"It's okay Sir. We'll manage." Amish hesitated a bit.
"I said it's fine Amish." This time, a little harder tone worked.
He nodded and set forward to make the arrangements for our stay. After sometime, he came back and told me about everything being ready.
"You said that the man will get the house cleaned for us to stay." I looked at Amish angrily.
"Sir, this is what he meant by cleaned." He said looking down .
"Ughh." I scoffed in irritation looking at the house. If he meant this shit by clean then, I can't even imagine it's condition when it's dirty.
