Nisha's pov:

Ughhh!

I felt the pain shot up my arm like fire. Not able to hold it any longer, I tried to move but couldn't. It exploded in my head with a blinding whiteness making me feel dizzy even with closed eyes.

"Doctor! Doctor!" I heard a familiar voice yell.

In a near moment, I felt the pain subside slowly as if I was loosing strength to fight it. Even though the pain was like needles that had been jammed through my skin, like my arm had been replaced with ice and electricity wired straight into my spine. So hell!

"Oh! She's gaining consciousness. It's good. Don't worry. Let her wake up completely and then, we can see if there's any problem." I heard a voice other than the previous one.

Groaning and cringing in constant pain, I tried to open my eyes, which definitely felt as if they were stuck with an adhesive. It took so much for me to open them and blinking quite a few times to adjust to the hard light.

Finally, I managed to get a blurry vision through my eyes and in a second, it was all clear. There stood few people in white coat and a lady that looked like a nurse.

"Hello Miss. It's good that you attained consciousness. Your whole family has been really worried about you. Let me just check your vitals once." That man closer to me said and checked me by his stethoscope and a sphygmomanometer in his hand.

"Umm...wha...what happened to me?" I asked him, after he was done. I could hardly remember anything and was hell confused with the surroundings.

"You got into an accident with your friend. But thankfully, you were brought here on time and we could treat you properly. You are almost all fine now." He replied.

Honestly, I just registered and recalled my accident. I very well now remembered my so close encounter to death when were so brutally hit by a truck. I thought that we both would never see the next morning by the impact of our hit.

Wait! What about Akshay?

"Doctor, wh...what abo..ut Akshay?" I am still finding difficult to pronounce words clearly, of course for the dryness in my throat.

"Well, don't worry about him. He was much critical than you when he was brought here. But, thanks for your family and their support that he was given the best treatment that we didn't have at our hospital and that they called doctors and staff from Chennai to treat him. He is all good and recovering now."

I mentally thanked God that he is fine. I would have never been able to forgive myself if something had happened to him. He was there to drop me and help me. It would have been really unfair to him and his family if he would not have.... No! I don't even want to think about that side of possibility.

"Just rest now Miss Nisha. Your family is waiting to meet you. I will send them inside." Saying this, the doctor and the nurse went outside.

I sighed, looking at the ceiling.

What would have happened all this while?

My mind went to thoughts that just kept on wondering from one corner to the other of my utterly tired self.

Just then, the door opened and looking through the corner of my eyes, there came both my parents. My biological parents and my in-laws who are no less than my real parents to me.
