Nisha's pov:
My eyes trailed over the figure that left the room leaving me with my parents to have my moment. My mother side hugged me as soon as he left the room.
"My child." She sobbed over my shoulders while I failed to collect together my emotions.
"Don't cry Lalitha. Someday, she had to leave. That day is Today." My father said running his hand over my head. No matter however strict he is, he has always been the best to me.
"God bless you my child." He said and went out of the room.
I stared at my crying mother for a bit and wiped her tears shaking my head in no.
"Don't cry maa. This might be my destiny." I tried to sound confident but, deep inside I knew that I was shaken.
But, tears failed to make their way out of my eyes. Knowing that I may not see my parents very soon again, I still couldn't cry . Probably, because of the shock.
"Now, listen beta. There are few things you need to know before you enter his home." She hastily wiped her tears and took my hand in hers.
"That is your home, your identity from now on. You need to forget all the things you used to do here. Every house has some rules and regulations. You need to follow them.
You know that this marriage isn't all dreamy. So, there might be few people who will try to question you. But, don't forget you are at your in laws now. You will speak only that is required. You have be in discipline there.
Respect your in laws like you respect God. Whatever they say, you'll do it. You will act however they want you to. Never disobey them.
Perform all your duties like cooking, cleaning and everything without fail. Don't let them feel like you are a mistake to their son.
And now most importantly, your husband. He is your God from now on. You've seen me . You'll act the same way with your husband. Never raise your voice or question him.
One more thing. He has complete right over you now. You won't keep him aloof from his right. Your body and soul belongs to him now. So, never ever deny him."
Never ever deny him.
My mother's words were continuously ringing in my head untill she called me out loud.
"Nisha. You understood whatever I said, right?"
Absent mindedly, I nodded at her and we went outside to see him talking with my father.
Abhinav's pov:
I saw her coming out of the house with her mother. It was the time to leave now.
"I guess, we'll take your leave now." I said and looked at her.
For a second our eyes met but, before I could react something she looked away. She took a last look at her parents and looked at me. I opened the door of the car for her and she sat in.
"Aunty. I hope you don't mind me calling you that. I have given my all the details to Uncle. You can call or come to meet your daughter anytime you want. I am taking her as a responsibility with me. But, that doesn't mean she is no longer your daughter. " Aunty nodded at me .
After taking their blessings, I went to the other side and sat in my car. Then, we drove off to our destination. Mumbai.
The wind was pushing the car to no avail. We were going forwards and nothing but a blessed tragedy can change that. The tires making their monotonous sound, hissed over the rain-washed highway and the air that made its way though the filters were meadow-sweet. All around, through these tinted windows were fields.
