It's the next morning and George wakes up to check the performance of his new video.

As usual it got a fair amount of views, normally ranging from 500k-1m give or take.

He was very happy with it,

Until he opened the comments.

Everyone was doing the norm, putting time stamps for moments they thought were funny, making their own jokes etc.

But one of the top comments stood out to him.

@-alexoceaneyes : 'does anyone else think George has low-key been yassified'

George reads the comment, confused.

'The fuck does "yassified" mean, and why did so many people agree?' He thinks to himself

He goes to Google in order to find out.

He googles : 'what does yassified mean'

The results pop up and his jaw hits the floor.

It's all just queer people, feminine people, glitter, makeup, big lips.

But people don't know what he looks like? Do they?

George doesn't have a problem with gay people, he just doesn't consider himself a part of the community.

-

He feels tears prick his waterline.

'Is that how I'm perceived? But how would they even know?' George thinks to himself, sucking the tears back in.

He googles : 'Memeulous face'

He sees a link to Reddit,

He feels his body go stiff.

It's a picture of him, with no mask or glasses.

The tears he had fought off, won the battle and came crashing down.

Overwhelmed, he doesn't know what to do.

He started his channel in 2014, successfully protecting his privacy, just to have some idiot on the internet ruin it all for him.

The feeling was indescribable, people knew what he looked like now.

Luckily for him the Reddit post didn't have much traction, so nobody really knew about it.

He prayed it would stay that way.

He reported it but there wasn't much he could do other than that.

His vision was blurred by all the tears, and his heart was beating faster than he could handle.

In an attempt to calm down, he takes deep breaths, but the breaths don't feel satisfactory.

It's like there's not enough air going into his lungs, he frantically gets up from his chair at his desk and collapses against his wall.

He's hyperventilating, he cant accept the fact that the privacy he had kept intact for so long, was no more.

Alex was in his room when all of a sudden he hears a bit of a thud off the wall.

Confused, he pauses what he's watching to try listen.

He hears distant breathing, but it doesn't sound quite right.

Alex knows how it feels, he used to have panic attacks when the pressure of YouTube got to him, but recently he had been doing better.

He slowly approaches Georges room,

He knocks on the door.

"George?"

After getting no response he opens it.

He sees George, head on his knees, crying, hyperventilating.

"George?" Alex says as he gently approaches him, kneeling down to his level.

Alex is hesitant to physically interact with him,

"Is it okay for me to touch you George?" He asks

George just nods the best response he can.

Alex sits next to George, putting his arm around George pulling him in to where George's head is resting in Alex's lap.

"Okay in order for you to calm down I'm going to need you to cooperate with me for a moment okay?" Alex says calmly,

No response of course,

"Alright George can you name something you can see?"

George pauses for a second, breathing heavily,

"The floor" he responds, raspy, still crying.

"What about something you can smell?"

"You"

"Something that you can taste?"

"My tears?"

"Something you can hear?"

"My crying"

"Once last thing, something you can feel?"

"You"

George seemed to have calmed a little, the distraction and using his senses seemed to really help ground him.

And Alex of course.

George stopped hyperventilating but stayed in Alex's lap, it felt safe.

"What happened George?" Alex asks.

George shakily points to his PC screen.

Alex looks over and gasps.

"Oh my god, George I'm so sorry" Alex says as he rubs circles in George's back.

They sit like that for a moment.

George eventually sits up, admits he's tired and wants to go to bed.

Both still sitting on the floor, Alex hugs him and gives him a little squeeze,

"Alright, night George, text me if you need me, you know I'm always here for you"

"Thanks Alex, same to you" George smiles

Alex leaves Georges room and goes to sleep, George sits in his bed.

A lot of time passes and George just sits in his thoughts.

After even more time passes, he's still just awake, thinking.

He probably should have texted Alex before anything bad happened,

But he didn't.
