He's grateful to have such an understanding lover. You never get upset about when he leaves to help his friends, always holding his jacket towards him when he gets off the phone, wishing him luck before he has to rush out the door. It doesn't happen to the point where the both of you miss out on dates and Yasu isn't dumb enough to leave you waiting on him too long. As much as he loves his friends, he doesn't let their problems affect your relationship, you still come first. Not that you'd ever put him against his friends or give him ultimatums.

He doesn't get why you're so quick to stop his apologies to ask if everything worked out. Again, he's very grateful but he's curious to know why you haven't been upset about his tendencies yet. Yasu's previous partners would admit that they've felt like he always chose work or his friends over them, wanting him to stop being so quick to leave them.

Some even encouraged Yasu to let someone else handle the problems for once, but he's not that kind of person. He can't stand on the side when things come up he'd rather be present and actively finding the solutions or answers.

When he finally decides to ask you why that is, you remind Yasu of the times he extended the same understanding and patience to you. The way he never got mad when you needed to focus on your career or postpone dates because something came up. How he'd kiss your forehead and tell you to call him later if you aren't busy. You never forgot about the times Yasu surprised you with food, wanting to check that you were doing well.

When you leave his side to be with your friends he doesn't accuse you of being neglectful or unfaithful, he's just happy to know that you're willing to be there for those you care for. It's an admirable trait. Just be sure to call him if things get out of hand, he'd be devastated if you got hurt trying to be helpful.

It feels weird hearing you say those things, but not in a bad way! It just gives him this mushy feeling in his chest that he won't try to describe. But as you leave your fingers with his and tell him he's worthy of the same kindness he extends to others, Yasu finds himself blushing and maybe a bit teary-eyed.
