You wouldn't guess that she was anywhere close to being a siren let alone a fan of water. The Nana you knew, or at least thought you knew, was this trailblazing rockstar that pushed back against social norms. Seeing her lean against the shipwreck grinning proudly at the damage and drowning men wasn't something that you expected to witness. Sure, you ran back home away from your "safe space" along the coast. But she always notices an audience.
As a siren, Nana's unique husky voice is quite hypnotic even as she's on land in her human form. It's not as hard to escape but it's extremely hard to go against her when she starts to hum her little songs. So you could guess what she's going to do once she gets ahold of you. Nothing drastic though, she only wants to make sure you'll remain faithful.
The last thing she'd want to do is drag you, her most loyal fan, into the dark waters to keep her secret but she'd do it for the sake of living. You learn that the hard way when Nana convinces you to walk along the docks you've been avoiding for a lovely chat. As a brief reminder of her abilities, she forced you to jump into the water as she sang a daunting tune. You didn't drown but her message was unforgettable.
You wanted to pack your belongings and head to the next town over after the incident. Yet here you are, eight months later still the president of Nana's fan club. Courtesy of Nana herself of course. Believe me, you did try to avoid her after the warning but she had other plans in mind. She wasn't kidding when she said you were her favorite fan, it'd break her heart if she never saw your pretty face in the crowd again. So you're going to stay right where Nana can see you, any objections are met with her hypnotic tune.
