The power this man exudes is phenomenal, always the one taking charge in a room full of people. You'd mistake him for the boss even when he isn't dressed formally. From the way, he speaks, dresses, and has a plan for everything. Yasu is a formidable man. So it's not hard to think of him as the leader of a werewolf pack.
The only time you'd forget that he was the leader is when you meet his family. Their big personalities and animated movements can overshadow his at times. He's always so calm and mellow compared to the others who are rowdy and a bit brash sometimes. You honestly thought Nana was the one in charge at some point but the way she's subtly guided by Yasu says it all.
You're less likely to find out that he's a werewolf until he trusts you enough. As much as he loves you, that's not something you just share because of a silly crush, especially when hunters are still a big problem. That's why he stresses the importance of discretion to others and warns them to get his permission before exposing their identities. So you could guess why Nobuo is a bit of a problem.
The only time Yasu snaps at the others is when they're causing unnecessary problems. A prime example is Nana and Shin fighting and expecting people to take sides. This could potentially ruin the integrity of the pack. If everyone is dividing so easily over pointless arguments, imagine what they'd do during a serious situation. He doesn't mind them having a spat but reinforcing the "us vs. them" mentality never leads to anything good.
As a werewolf, Yasu is more protective, if possible, of those he cares about especially his human lover since they're more vulnerable. You're not aware of the dangers that lurk in the shadows or the ones that are hidden in plain sight. It's scary knowing you're oblivious to it all. He can't exactly drop that kind of knowledge so a simple "be safe" has to suffice for now.
Yasu doesn't exactly stalk you but he does learn every little routine you have. There's no heinous or selfish motive; it's solely for your well-being. He knows about every territory and its ongoing or past drama. Whether it be with werewolves, vampires, witches, etc. So knowing where you live will determine his next step in keeping you safe. Depending on how troublesome the area is he may pull some strings to have you relocated.
You get tons of gifts from Yasu once he properly introduces himself. From edible to decorative there are so many boxes sitting on your doorstep. The mailman probably hates you right about now. Edible gifts to prove he can keep his mate well fed, decorative gifts to show he can provide a life of comfort, the ones about your hobbies to show he cares about your happiness too. You can't tell you're being courted, just that Yasu clearly likes you.
