Clara never felt like she belonged in the world. Being the middle child of the Wheeler family and having to compete with her perfect twin, Nancy Wheeler, made everything suck for her. She didn't want to live life like any other people. She wanted to...

Clara sat in the backseat of the car with the unconscious Steve in the middle seat and Dustin on the other side of Steve, holding an ice pack to his head. Max drove the car while Lucas and Mike squeezed in the front passengers seat. Clara held onto Steve's hand comfortingly and caressed the back of his hand gently with her thumb. She waited for him to wake up after they were on the road for a few minutes until his eyes fluttered open.
"Clara?"
"Yeah, it's me." She greeted him with a soft smile.
Steve tried to feel his scar on his head but Dustin moved his hand away. "No, don't touch it. Hey, buddy... It's okay. You put up a good fight. He kicked your ass, but you put up a fight. You're okay."
Clara nodded. "I kicked his ass for you, don't worry."
"Okay, you're gonna keep straight for a half a mile, then make a left on Mount Sinai." Lucas guided Max to their destination.
Steve looked over to Lucas. "What's going on?" He continued to look around the car to see Max in the driver's seat. "Oh, my God!"
"Just relax. She's driven before." Dustin assured Steve to keep him from panicking.
"Yeah, in a parking lot."
Clara used her free hand and slid it across her throat gesturing for him to shut up.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." Steve continued to panic. "What's going on?"
Max ignored him and hit the gas pedal, causing the car to go faster. "Oh, my God. No! Whoa! Stop the car. Slow down."
"I told you he'd freak out." Mike told Dustin.
"Stop the car!"
"Everybody shut up! I'm trying to focus!" Max yelled.
Lucas looked back at the map before looking back at Max. "Oh, wait, that's Mount Sinai. Make a left!"
"What?"
"Make a left!"
Max started to drift off the road causing her to hit a mailbox as she took a sharp turn to the left. As they turned, Steve's weakened body fell into Clara's lap. She wrapped her arms around him to make sure he doesn't hit his head whilst taking the turn. He gripped his hands onto her lower arm like she was his seatbelt.
Everyone screamed at the sudden action and started to freak out. Clara always had a fear of what could happen with reckless driving so she held onto Steve tighter. Finally, Max was able to drive straight on the road causing everyone to feel relief.
Max continued driving until they made a quick stop, causing Clara to hit her head off the car window. She groaned in pain as she thought about the massive headache she would have the next day.
All of the kids got out of the car quickly and ran to the car trunk while Steve and Clara slowly got out of the car. Clara grabbed Steve's hand and helped him out of the car. He stood up straight but started to stumble across the grass until Clara caught him and helped him stay up. "I got you, Harrington."
