"What the hell is that?" Clara exclaimed at the sight.
"There's something in there." Mike responded, holding El by her arm.
"Yeah no shit!" Clara shouted back at her brother over the pained screams of El.
"Keep her talking. Keep her awake, okay?" Jonathan told them all before dashing around the mall.
They all waited for Jonathan to come back while they kept El awake. Jonathan came back to the group with materials to help the girl. He brought back a knife, a wooden spoon, a bandage like thing and a pair of disposable gloves. Clara looked at him with wide eyes. "Jonathan! What are you doing?"
"Getting this son of a bitch out!" He answered.
Clara held out her hand to the boy, silently asking for the materials. "Let me do it!" Jonathan gave her a look, unsure if he should let her. "Just let me do it! I don't have a problem with blood!"
He handed her the materials, sitting beside her while he tried comforting El. "This is gonna hurt like hell, okay? I need you to stay real still. Here, you're gonna want to bite down on this, okay?"
He handed her the wooden spoon he brought back with him. She quickly placed it in her mouth, getting ready for Clara's procedure.
"Okay, El. Don't think about how much it will hurt. Think about something that makes you happy, like puppies or unicorns, I don't know." Clara advised, getting the tools ready. Once she got her gloves on her hands, she looked to El. "Are you ready?"
"Mhm." The girl hummed.
Clara saw the creature crawling inside of El's leg and felt like gagging but ignored the urge. She thought to herself for a moment, thinking about if she hurts El extremely. She snapped herself out of her thoughts before slowly slicing El's leg open. Everyone was grossed out by the sight but Clara kept going. "Puppies! Unicorns! Rainbows! Fuck!"
Clara closed her eyes for a moment, tears welling up before driving her hand into El's leg. Her hand swirled around in the girl's leg, looking for the small creature. She felt uncomfortable by the sound of El's screams of agony. She reached her hand in deeper, her fingers poking at the creature when she caught a grip on it. "I got it!"
She heared El's screams get louder as she pulled the creature out. Clara went slow so she didn't take too much of El's blood. She finally got it out before she dropped it on the tile ground. She got off of the ground and stood up quickly before stomping on the creature multiple times. "Die you piece of shit!"
She continued stepping on the creature until she didn't see any slight movement from it. El sighed in relief that the pain was over. Jonathan grabbed the bandage that was beside him and wrapped it around El's leg gently. Clara looked away from El's wound to see that the Chief, Joyce and an unknown man was at the mall.

"The Mind Flayer, it built this monster in Hawkins, to stop El, to kill her and pave a way into our world." Mike explained to the group.
