"Haha, I won again."I groaned, finally crumpling up the piece of paper in front of me.
I have been playing tic tac toe with Beomgyu for the last ten minutes of class, and I still haven't won one game. We either tie, or I just lose. I don't know how this idiot happens to outsmart me. "Are you cheating!?" I raised my voice.
"How do you cheat at this game?" Beomgyu started laughing his ass off.
"How do you keep winning?"
"You want to know?" Beomgyu smirked. "It's a secret, but I'll tell you my mysterious ways."
I raised my brow. Beomgyu signaled for me to lean in closer. I scooted closer, and he leaned into my ear. "The secret is-" He paused for a second before letting out a loud burp.
My upper lip automatically pushed up. I quickly stood up from my chair. "Gross," I yelled, wiping my ear.
I quickly realized that we were in the middle of a class. I turned to find the teacher and the rest of the class staring at me.
"Kai, is there something you want to share with the class?"
"Uh.." I hesitated. I looked at Beomgyu, who was struggling to hold back his laughter. I let my eyes travel the room, averting our teacher's piercing gaze. "I.."
Just in time, the bell came, saving my ass. Beomgyu and I quickly packed our stuff and bolted out of the classroom.
We ended up bumping into Yeonjun, who looked annoyed. "Are you guys causing trouble again?" He stressed the word again.
"Beomgyu started it." I pointed at him. "He's cheating at tic tac toe."
"I'm not cheating. Kai is stupid and falling into my traps."
I crossed my arms, somewhat pouting. Yeonjun put his arm around my shoulder and smiled. We made our way down the halls to our lockers. Every few seconds, someone would come up to the guys to talk. Most of them just ignore my presence. Not that I'm invisible or unpopular. People only know me because I'm friends with Yeonjun and Beomgyu.
They are more extroverted than me. Beomgyu interacts with everyone, and since Yeonjun is older than us, he has more of an influence in the building. Even teachers love them. The fact that they are really attractive doesn't help. Girls literally throw themselves at them.
Beomgyu leaned next to my locker. "So, guys, I think Ryujin likes me."
"You think the librarian likes you," Yeonjun said sarcastically.
"Okay, Teacher Kim literally calls me handsome. She is definitely into me."
"She's 72." I rolled my eyes at Beomgyu.
"You guys are just jealous. She brings me oranges and shows me pictures of her cats."
"Wow, she must really be in love," Yeonjun exaggerated his voice.
We broke out into laughter while Beomgyu sulked. I unlocked my locker, and a pink envelope fell out.
"What's that?" Yeonjun asked as I bent to pick up the envelope.
"Dunno," I said, carefully looking at it.
There was no name, just a heart sticker on it.
"Is that a love note?" Beomgyu chuckled. "Who still writes love letters?"
"Love letters are romantic," Yeonjun quickly jumped in to defend. "Also, the person might be nervous."
I hesitated for a moment, "What should I do? I never got a love letter before."
"Open it, you idiot."
"I'm nervous."
"I'll open it." Beomgyu snatched it out of my hand.
"No!"
I quickly leaned over to grab it, but Beomgyu held it back. "Why don't you want us to see your new girlfriend?"
"Knock it off!" I shoved Beomgyu. I tried to grab it back again, but he once again moved. Yeonjun, coming to my defense, grabbed it from his hand and passed it back to me.
"Stop bothering him." Yeonjun grabbed Beomgyu by the bookbag. "We'll see you tomorrow, Kai." Yeonjun smiled at me before dragging Beomgyu away by his bag.
I hesitated a bit before tearing open the pink envelope.
The handwriting was beautiful. The writing itself was thin and had a pretty script. I've never seen this handwriting before, so I have no idea who it is.

Today was another gorgeous day where I couldn't stop thinking about you.
I want to tell you how I feel, but when I see you, I can't help but hesitate. I guess I'm still too young. Ever since I first laid eyes on you, my heart started to beat, and it's still like that every time I see you. I want to get to know you better, but I am unable to approach you. When you look at me, I just get so dizzy. I kept hoping one day you'd notice me, but sadly, this is your last year at this school. So I've decided to gather my courage.
I might not be too good at this since it's my first time confessing. But if I don't say this now, I might regret it later on.
I'm telling you I like you. Please meet me in the music room after school today. Choi Yeonjun.
